The HTTP/2 protocol allows a denial of service (server resource consumption) because request cancellation can reset many streams quickly, as exploited in the wild in August through October 2023. A flaw was found in handling multiplexed streams in the HTTP/2 protocol. A client can repeatedly make a request for a new multiplex stream and immediately send an RST_STREAM frame to cancel it. Text nodes not in the HTML namespace are incorrectly literally rendered, causing text which should be escaped to not be. This could lead to an XSS attack. A flaw was found in the Golang HTML package where it is vulnerable to Cross-site scripting caused by the improper validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability using a specially crafted URL to execute a script in a victim's web browser within the security context of the hosting website once the URL is clicked.
