02 Apr 2025 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix incorrect validation for num_aces field of smb_acl parse_dcal() validate num_aces to allocate posix_ace_state_array. if (num_aces > ULONG_MAX / sizeof(struct smb_ace *)) It is an incorrect validation that we can create an array of size ULONG_MAX. smb_acl has ->size field to calculate actual number of aces in request buffer size. Use this to check invalid num_aces. • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/9c4e202abff45f8eac17989e549fc7a75095f675 •

02 Apr 2025 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iscsi_ibft: Fix UBSAN shift-out-of-bounds warning in ibft_attr_show_nic() When performing an iSCSI boot using IPv6, iscsistart still reads the /sys/firmware/ibft/ethernetX/subnet-mask entry. Since the IPv6 prefix length is 64, this causes the shift exponent to become negative, triggering a UBSAN warning. As the concept of a subnet mask does not apply to IPv6, the value is set to ~0 to suppress the warning message. • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/9bfa80c8aa4e06dff55a953c3fffbfc68a3a3b1c •

02 Apr 2025 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: ignore non-functional sensor in HP 5MP Camera The HP 5MP Camera (USB ID 0408:5473) reports a HID sensor interface that is not actually implemented. Attempting to access this non-functional sensor via iio_info causes system hangs as runtime PM tries to wake up an unresponsive sensor. 02 Apr 2025 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/microcode/AMD: Fix out-of-bounds on systems with CPU-less NUMA nodes Currently, load_microcode_amd() iterates over all NUMA nodes, retrieves their CPU masks and unconditionally accesses per-CPU data for the first CPU of each mask. According to Documentation/admin-guide/mm/numaperf.rst: "Some memory may share the same node as a CPU, and others are provided as memory only nodes." Therefore, some node CPU masks may be empty and wouldn't ha... • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/d576547f489c935b9897d4acf8beee3325dea8a5 •

01 Apr 2025 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: switchdev: Convert blocking notification chain to a raw one A blocking notification chain uses a read-write semaphore to protect the integrity of the chain. The semaphore is acquired for writing when adding / removing notifiers to / from the chain and acquired for reading when traversing the chain and informing notifiers about an event. In case of the blocking switchdev notification chain, recursive notifications are possible which lea... • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/91ac2c79e896b28a4a3a262384689ee6dfeaf083 •

01 Apr 2025 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Fix out-of-bound accesses [WHAT & HOW] hpo_stream_to_link_encoder_mapping has size MAX_HPO_DP2_ENCODERS(=4), but location can have size up to 6. As a result, it is necessary to check location against MAX_HPO_DP2_ENCODERS. Similiarly, disp_cfg_stream_location can be used as an array index which should be 0..5, so the ASSERT's conditions should be less without equal. But the return values were not checked in npcm8xx_gpio_fw(). Add NULL check in npcm8xx_gpio_fw(), to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference error. 01 Apr 2025 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ice: fix memory leak in aRFS after reset Fix aRFS (accelerated Receive Flow Steering) structures memory leak by adding a checker to verify if aRFS memory is already allocated while configuring VSI. aRFS objects are allocated in two cases: - as part of VSI initialization (at probe), and - as part of reset handling However, VSI reconfiguration executed during reset involves memory allocation one more time, without prior releasing already allo... • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/28bf26724fdb0e02267d19e280d6717ee810a10d •

01 Apr 2025 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched: address a potential NULL pointer dereference in the GRED scheduler. If kzalloc in gred_init returns a NULL pointer, the code follows the error handling path, invoking gred_destroy. This, in turn, calls gred_offload, where memset could receive a NULL pointer as input, potentially leading to a kernel crash. When table->opt is NULL in gred_init(), gred_change_table_def() is not called yet, so it is not necessary to call ->ndo_setup_tc()... • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/f25c0515c521375154c62c72447869f40218c861 •

01 Apr 2025 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: cfg80211: cancel wiphy_work before freeing wiphy A wiphy_work can be queued from the moment the wiphy is allocated and initialized (i.e. wiphy_new_nm). When a wiphy_work is queued, the rdev::wiphy_work is getting queued. If wiphy_free is called before the rdev::wiphy_work had a chance to run, the wiphy memory will be freed, and then when it eventally gets to run it'll use invalid memory. Fix this by canceling the work before freeing t... • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/3fcc6d7d5f40dad56dee7bde787b7e23edd4b93c •
