CVE-2021-45105 – Apache Log4j2 does not always protect from infinite recursion in lookup evaluation
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2021-45105
Apache Log4j2 versions 2.0-alpha1 through 2.16.0 (excluding 2.12.3 and 2.3.1) did not protect from uncontrolled recursion from self-referential lookups. This allows an attacker with control over Thread Context Map data to cause a denial of service when a crafted string is interpreted. This issue was fixed in Log4j 2.17.0, 2.12.3, and 2.3.1. • https://github.com/thedevappsecguy/Log4J-Mitigation-CVE-2021-44228--CVE-2021-45046--CVE-2021-45105--CVE-2021-44832 https://github.com/tejas-nagchandi/CVE-2021-45105 https://github.com/pravin-pp/log4j2-CVE-2021-45105 https://github.com/dileepdkumar/https-github.com-pravin-pp-log4j2-CVE-2021-45105-1 https://github.com/dileepdkumar/https-github.com-pravin-pp-log4j2-CVE-2021-45105 https://github.com/dileepdkumar/https-github.com-dileepdkumar-https-github.com-pravin-pp-log4j2-CVE-2021-45105-v htt • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation CWE-674: Uncontrolled Recursion •
CVE-2021-29425 – Possible limited path traversal vulnerabily in Apache Commons IO
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2021-29425
In Apache Commons IO before 2.7, When invoking the method FileNameUtils.normalize with an improper input string, like "//../foo", or "\\..\foo", the result would be the same value, thus possibly providing access to files in the parent directory, but not further above (thus "limited" path traversal), if the calling code would use the result to construct a path value.
CVE-2021-21350 – XStream is vulnerable to an Arbitrary Code Execution attack
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2021-21350
XStream is a Java library to serialize objects to XML and back again. In XStream before version 1.4.16, there is a vulnerability which may allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code only by manipulating the processed input stream. No user is affected, who followed the recommendation to setup XStream's security framework with a whitelist limited to the minimal required types. If you rely on XStream's default blacklist of the Security Framework, you will have to use at least version 1.4.16. • http://x-stream.github.io/changes.html#1.4.16 https://github.com/x-stream/xstream/security/advisories/GHSA-43gc-mjxg-gvrq https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r8244fd0831db894d5e89911ded9c72196d395a90ae655414d23ed0dd%40%3Cusers.activemq.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r9ac71b047767205aa22e3a08cb33f3e0586de6b2fac48b425c6e16b0%40%3Cdev.jmeter.apache.org%3E https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2021/04/msg00002.html https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message • CWE-434: Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type CWE-502: Deserialization of Untrusted Data •

CVE-2020-11113 – jackson-databind: Serialization gadgets in org.apache.openjpa.ee.WASRegistryManagedRuntime
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2020-11113
FasterXML jackson-databind 2.x before 2.9.10.4 mishandles the interaction between serialization gadgets and typing, related to org.apache.openjpa.ee.WASRegistryManagedRuntime (aka openjpa). A flaw was found in jackson-databind 2.x in versions prior to 2.9.10.4. The interaction between serialization gadgets and typing is mishandled. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability. • https://github.com/Al1ex/CVE-2020-11113 https://github.com/FasterXML/jackson-databind/issues/2670 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2020/04/msg00012.html https://medium.com/%40cowtowncoder/on-jackson-cves-dont-panic-here-is-what-you-need-to-know-54cd0d6e8062 https://security.netapp.com/advisory/ntap-20200403-0002 https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cpujan2021.html https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cpujul2020.html https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cpuoct2020.html https • CWE-96: Improper Neutralization of Directives in Statically Saved Code ('Static Code Injection') CWE-502: Deserialization of Untrusted Data •
