The SSH transport protocol with certain OpenSSH extensions, found in OpenSSH before 9.6 and other products, allows remote attackers to bypass integrity checks such that some packets are omitted (from the extension negotiation message), and a client and server may consequently end up with a connection for which some security features have been downgraded or disabled, aka a Terrapin attack. This occurs because the SSH Binary Packet Protocol (BPP), implemented by these extensions, mishandles the handshake phase and mishandles use of sequence numbers. For example, there is an effective attack against SSH's use of ChaCha20-Poly1305 (and CBC with Encrypt-then-MAC). The bypass occurs in chacha20-poly1305@openssh.com and (if CBC is used) the -etm@openssh.com MAC algorithms. A key length flaw was found in Red Hat Ceph Storage. An attacker can exploit the fact that the key length is incorrectly passed in an encryption algorithm to create a non random key, which is weaker and can be exploited for loss of confidentiality and integrity on encrypted disks. • https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2021-3979 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2024788 https://github.com/ceph/ceph/commit/47c33179f9a15ae95cc1579a421be89378602656 https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/44765 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2023/10/msg00034.html https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/BPOK44BESMIFW6BIOGCN452AKKOIIT6Q https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/54006 • CWE-287: Improper Authentication CWE-327: Use of a Broken or Risky Cryptographic Algorithm •

An out-of-bounds read flaw was found in the CLARRV, DLARRV, SLARRV, and ZLARRV functions in lapack through version 3.10.0, as also used in OpenBLAS before version 0.3.18. Specially crafted inputs passed to these functions could cause an application using lapack to crash or possibly disclose portions of its memory. Se ha encontrado un fallo de lectura fuera de límites en las funciones CLARRV, DLARRV, SLARRV y ZLARRV de lapack versiones hasta 3.10.0, usadas también en OpenBLAS versiones anteriores a 0.3.18.
