CVE-2024-11411 – Spotlightr <= 0.1.9 - Authenticated (Contributor+) Stored Cross-Site Scripting
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2024-11411
The Spotlightr plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's 'spotlightr-v' shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 0.1.9 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. • https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/spotlightr/trunk/spotlightr.php https://wordpress.org/plugins/spotlightr https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/475f2758-27a5-4a36-8085-576ee341938b?source=cve • CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') •
