The Ajax Search Lite WordPress plugin before 4.12.1 does not sanitise and escape some parameters, which could allow users with a role as low as Admin+ to perform Cross-Site Scripting attacks. The Ajax Search Lite plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via admin settings in all versions up to, and including, 4.12 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level permissions and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
