CVE-2019-3811 – sssd: fallback_homedir returns '/' for empty home directories in passwd file
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-3811
A vulnerability was found in sssd. If a user was configured with no home directory set, sssd would return '/' (the root directory) instead of '' (the empty string / no home directory). This could impact services that restrict the user's filesystem access to within their home directory through chroot() etc. All versions before 2.1 are vulnerable. CVE-2019-6251 – webkitgtk: processing maliciously crafted web content lead to URI spoofing
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-6251
WebKitGTK and WPE WebKit prior to version 2.24.1 are vulnerable to address bar spoofing upon certain JavaScript redirections. An attacker could cause malicious web content to be displayed as if for a trusted URI. This is similar to the CVE-2018-8383 issue in Microsoft Edge. • http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-05/msg00025.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-05/msg00031.html http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/152485/WebKitGTK-WPE-WebKit-URI-Spoofing-Code-Execution.html http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/04/11/1 https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=194208 https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/epiphany/issues/532 https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/HSCDI3 • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation •
CVE-2018-20346
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-20346
SQLite before 3.25.3, when the FTS3 extension is enabled, encounters an integer overflow (and resultant buffer overflow) for FTS3 queries that occur after crafted changes to FTS3 shadow tables, allowing remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by leveraging the ability to run arbitrary SQL statements (such as in certain WebSQL use cases), aka Magellan. • http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-04/msg00040.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-04/msg00070.html http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/106323 https://access.redhat.com/articles/3758321 https://blade.tencent.com/magellan/index_en.html https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1659379 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1659677 https://chromereleases.googleblog.com/2018/12/stable-channel-update-for-desktop.html https://chromium.googlesou • CWE-190: Integer Overflow or Wraparound •
CVE-2018-16873
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-16873
In Go before 1.10.6 and 1.11.x before 1.11.3, the "go get" command is vulnerable to remote code execution when executed with the -u flag and the import path of a malicious Go package, or a package that imports it directly or indirectly. Specifically, it is only vulnerable in GOPATH mode, but not in module mode (the distinction is documented at https://golang.org/cmd/go/#hdr-Module_aware_go_get). Using custom domains, it's possible to arrange things so that a Git repository is cloned to a folder named ".git" by using a vanity import path that ends with "/.git". If the Git repository root contains a "HEAD" file, a "config" file, an "objects" directory, a "refs" directory, with some work to ensure the proper ordering of operations, "go get -u" can be tricked into considering the parent directory as a repository root, and running Git commands on it. That will use the "config" file in the original Git repository root for its configuration, and if that config file contains malicious commands, they will execute on the system running "go get -u". • http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-03/msg00044.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-05/msg00060.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-06/msg00011.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-06/msg00015.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-07/msg00010.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2020-04/msg00041.html http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/106226 https://bugzilla • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation •
CVE-2018-16874
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-16874
In Go before 1.10.6 and 1.11.x before 1.11.3, the "go get" command is vulnerable to directory traversal when executed with the import path of a malicious Go package which contains curly braces (both '{' and '}' characters). Specifically, it is only vulnerable in GOPATH mode, but not in module mode (the distinction is documented at https://golang.org/cmd/go/#hdr-Module_aware_go_get). The attacker can cause an arbitrary filesystem write, which can lead to code execution. • http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-03/msg00044.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-05/msg00060.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-06/msg00011.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-06/msg00015.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-07/msg00010.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2020-04/msg00041.html http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/106228 https://bugzilla • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation CWE-22: Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') •
