CVE-2022-24050 – MariaDB CONNECT Storage Engine Use-After-Free Privilege Escalation Vulnerability
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-24050
MariaDB CONNECT Storage Engine Use-After-Free Privilege Escalation Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows local attackers to escalate privileges on affected installations of MariaDB. Authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the processing of SQL queries. The issue results from the lack of validating the existence of an object prior to performing operations on the object. • https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/DKJRBYJAQCOPHSED43A3HUPNKQLDTFGD https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/EZFZVMJL5UDTOZMARLXQIMG3BTG6UNYW https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/NJ4KDAGF3H4D4BDTHRAM6ZEAJJWWMRUO https://mariadb.com/kb/en/security https://security.netapp.com/advisory/ntap-20220318-0004 https://www.zerodayinitiative.com/advisories/ZDI-22-364 https://access.redh • CWE-416: Use After Free CWE-1173: Improper Use of Validation Framework •
CVE-2022-24052 – MariaDB CONNECT Storage Engine Heap-based Buffer Overflow Privilege Escalation Vulnerability
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-24052
MariaDB CONNECT Storage Engine Heap-based Buffer Overflow Privilege Escalation Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows local attackers to escalate privileges on affected installations of MariaDB. Authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the processing of SQL queries. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a fixed-length heap-based buffer. • https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/DKJRBYJAQCOPHSED43A3HUPNKQLDTFGD https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/EZFZVMJL5UDTOZMARLXQIMG3BTG6UNYW https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/NJ4KDAGF3H4D4BDTHRAM6ZEAJJWWMRUO https://mariadb.com/kb/en/security https://security.netapp.com/advisory/ntap-20220318-0004 https://www.zerodayinitiative.com/advisories/ZDI-22-367 https://access.redh • CWE-122: Heap-based Buffer Overflow •
CVE-2022-25258
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-25258
An issue was discovered in drivers/usb/gadget/composite.c in the Linux kernel before 5.16.10. The USB Gadget subsystem lacks certain validation of interface OS descriptor requests (ones with a large array index and ones associated with NULL function pointer retrieval). Memory corruption might occur. • https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v5.x/ChangeLog-5.16.10 https://github.com/szymonh/d-os-descriptor https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/75e5b4849b81e19e9efe1654b30d7f3151c33c2c https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2022/03/msg00011.html https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2022/03/msg00012.html https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/TCW2KZYJ2H6BKZE3CVLHRIXYDGNYYC5P https://security.netapp.com/advisory/ntap-20221028-0007 https:/ • CWE-476: NULL Pointer Dereference •
CVE-2022-25271
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-25271
Drupal core's form API has a vulnerability where certain contributed or custom modules' forms may be vulnerable to improper input validation. This could allow an attacker to inject disallowed values or overwrite data. Affected forms are uncommon, but in certain cases an attacker could alter critical or sensitive data. • https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/HVKIOWSXL2RF2ULNAP7PHESYCFSZIJE3 https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/SGSY236PYSFYIEBRGDERLA7OSY6D7XL4 https://www.drupal.org/sa-core-2022-003 • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation •
CVE-2022-21698 – Uncontrolled Resource Consumption in promhttp
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-21698
client_golang is the instrumentation library for Go applications in Prometheus, and the promhttp package in client_golang provides tooling around HTTP servers and clients. In client_golang prior to version 1.11.1, HTTP server is susceptible to a Denial of Service through unbounded cardinality, and potential memory exhaustion, when handling requests with non-standard HTTP methods. In order to be affected, an instrumented software must use any of `promhttp.InstrumentHandler*` middleware except `RequestsInFlight`; not filter any specific methods (e.g GET) before middleware; pass metric with `method` label name to our middleware; and not have any firewall/LB/proxy that filters away requests with unknown `method`. client_golang version 1.11.1 contains a patch for this issue. Several workarounds are available, including removing the `method` label name from counter/gauge used in the InstrumentHandler; turning off affected promhttp handlers; adding custom middleware before promhttp handler that will sanitize the request method given by Go http. • https://github.com/prometheus/client_golang/pull/962 https://github.com/prometheus/client_golang/pull/987 https://github.com/prometheus/client_golang/releases/tag/v1.11.1 https://github.com/prometheus/client_golang/security/advisories/GHSA-cg3q-j54f-5p7p https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/2IK53GWZ475OQ6ENABKMJMTOBZG6LXUR https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/2PFW6Q2LXXWTFRTMTRN4ZGADFRQPKJ3D https://lists.fedor • CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption CWE-770: Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling CWE-772: Missing Release of Resource after Effective Lifetime •
