mod_auth_openidc is an authentication/authorization module for the Apache 2.x HTTP server that functions as an OpenID Connect Relying Party, authenticating users against an OpenID Connect Provider. When mod_auth_openidc versions prior to 2.4.9 are configured to use an unencrypted Redis cache (`OIDCCacheEncrypt off`, `OIDCSessionType server-cache`, `OIDCCacheType redis`), `mod_auth_openidc` wrongly performed argument interpolation before passing Redis requests to `hiredis`, which would perform it again and lead to an uncontrolled format string bug. Initial assessment shows that this bug does not appear to allow gaining arbitrary code execution, but can reliably provoke a denial of service by repeatedly crashing the Apache workers. This bug has been corrected in version 2.4.9 by performing argument interpolation only once, using the `hiredis` API. As a workaround, this vulnerability can be mitigated by setting `OIDCCacheEncrypt` to `on`, as cache keys are cryptographically hashed before use when this option is enabled. mod_auth_openidc es un módulo de autenticación/autorización para el servidor HTTP Apache versión 2.x que funciona como OpenID Connect Relying Party, autenticando a usuarios contra un OpenID Connect Provider. • https://github.com/zmartzone/mod_auth_openidc/commit/dc672688dc1f2db7df8ad4abebc367116017a449 https://github.com/zmartzone/mod_auth_openidc/releases/tag/v2.4.9 https://github.com/zmartzone/mod_auth_openidc/security/advisories/GHSA-55r8-6w97-xxr4 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2023/04/msg00034.html https://security.netapp.com/advisory/ntap-20210902-0001 https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cpuapr2022.html • CWE-134: Use of Externally-Controlled Format String •

An out-of-bounds memory write flaw was found in the Linux kernel's joystick devices subsystem in versions before 5.9-rc1, in the way the user calls ioctl JSIOCSBTNMAP. This flaw allows a local user to crash the system or possibly escalate their privileges on the system. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality, integrity, as well as system availability. • https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1974079 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2021/10/msg00010.html https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2021/12/msg00012.html https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/YKGI562LFV5MESTMVTCG5RORSBT6NGBN https://lore.kernel.org/linux-input/20210620120030.1513655-1-avlarkin82%40gmail.com https://security.netapp.com/advisory/ntap-20210805-0005 https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cpujul2022.html https:& • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation CWE-119: Improper Restriction of Operations within the Bounds of a Memory Buffer CWE-787: Out-of-bounds Write •

Guest triggered use-after-free in Linux xen-netback A malicious or buggy network PV frontend can force Linux netback to disable the interface and terminate the receive kernel thread associated with queue 0 in response to the frontend sending a malformed packet. Such kernel thread termination will lead to a use-after-free in Linux netback when the backend is destroyed, as the kernel thread associated with queue 0 will have already exited and thus the call to kthread_stop will be performed against a stale pointer.

The vgacon subsystem in the Linux kernel before 5.8.10 mishandles software scrollback. There is a vgacon_scrolldelta out-of-bounds read, aka CID-973c096f6a85. El subsistema vgacon en el kernel de Linux versiones anteriores a 5.8.10, maneja inapropiadamente el desplazamiento de software.
