CVE-2019-12402 – apache-commons-compress: Infinite loop in name encoding algorithm
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-12402
The file name encoding algorithm used internally in Apache Commons Compress 1.15 to 1.18 can get into an infinite loop when faced with specially crafted inputs. This can lead to a denial of service attack if an attacker can choose the file names inside of an archive created by Compress. A resource consumption vulnerability was discovered in apache-commons-compress in the way NioZipEncoding encodes filenames. • https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/308cc15f1f1dc53e97046fddbac240e6cd16de89a2746cf257be7f5b%40%3Cdev.commons.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/54cc4e9fa6b24520135f6fa4724dfb3465bc14703c7dc7e52353a0ea%40%3Ccommits.creadur.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/9317fd092b257a0815434b116a8af8daea6e920b6673f4fd5583d5fe%40%3Ccommits.druid.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r05cf37c1e1e662e968cfece1102fcd50fe207181fdbf2c30aadfafd3%40%3Cissues.flink.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r204ba2a9ea750f38d789d2bb429cc0925ad6133deea7cbc3001d96b5%4 • CWE-835: Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition ('Infinite Loop') •
CVE-2019-10086 – apache-commons-beanutils: does not suppresses the class property in PropertyUtilsBean by default
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-10086
In Apache Commons Beanutils 1.9.2, a special BeanIntrospector class was added which allows suppressing the ability for an attacker to access the classloader via the class property available on all Java objects. We, however were not using this by default characteristic of the PropertyUtilsBean. A flaw was found in the Apache Commons BeanUtils, where the class property in PropertyUtilsBean is not suppressed by default. • http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-09/msg00007.html http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/www-announce/201908.mbox/%3cC628798F-315D-4428-8CB1-4ED1ECC958E4%40apache.org%3e https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:4317 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2020:0057 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2020:0194 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2020:0804 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2020:0805 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2020:0806 • CWE-502: Deserialization of Untrusted Data •
CVE-2019-14439 – jackson-databind: Polymorphic typing issue related to logback/JNDI
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-14439
A Polymorphic Typing issue was discovered in FasterXML jackson-databind 2.x before 2.9.9.2. This occurs when Default Typing is enabled (either globally or for a specific property) for an externally exposed JSON endpoint and the service has the logback jar in the classpath. • https://github.com/jas502n/CVE-2019-14439 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:3200 https://github.com/FasterXML/jackson-databind/commit/ad418eeb974e357f2797aef64aa0e3ffaaa6125b https://github.com/FasterXML/jackson-databind/compare/jackson-databind-2.9.9.1...jackson-databind-2.9.9.2 https://github.com/FasterXML/jackson-databind/issues/2389 https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/0d4b630d9ee724aee50703397d9d1afa2b2befc9395ba7797d0ccea9%40%3Cdev.tomee.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/2d2a76440becb610b9 • CWE-200: Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor CWE-502: Deserialization of Untrusted Data •
CVE-2019-14379 – jackson-databind: default typing mishandling leading to remote code execution
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-14379
SubTypeValidator.java in FasterXML jackson-databind before 2.9.9.2 mishandles default typing when ehcache is used (because of net.sf.ehcache.transaction.manager.DefaultTransactionManagerLookup), leading to remote code execution. A flaw was discovered in FasterXML jackson-databind, where it would permit polymorphic deserialization of malicious objects using the ehcache and logback JNDI gadgets when used in conjunction with polymorphic type handling methods such as `enableDefaultTyping()` or when @JsonTypeInfo is using `Id.CLASS` or `Id.MINIMAL_CLASS` or in any other way which ObjectMapper.readValue might instantiate objects from unsafe sources. An attacker could use this flaw to execute arbitrary code. • http://seclists.org/fulldisclosure/2022/Mar/23 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2019:2824 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:2743 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:2858 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:2935 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:2936 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:2937 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:2938 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:2998 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2 • CWE-502: Deserialization of Untrusted Data CWE-1321: Improperly Controlled Modification of Object Prototype Attributes ('Prototype Pollution') •
