An issue was discovered in Xen through 4.12.x allowing x86 guest OS users to cause a denial of service (infinite loop) because certain bit iteration is mishandled. In a number of places bitmaps are being used by the hypervisor to track certain state. Iteration over all bits involves functions which may misbehave in certain corner cases: On x86 accesses to bitmaps with a compile time known size of 64 may incur undefined behavior, which may in particular result in infinite loops. A malicious guest may cause a hypervisor crash or hang, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). All versions of Xen are vulnerable. x86 systems with 64 or more nodes are vulnerable (there might not be any such systems that Xen would run on). x86 systems with less than 64 nodes are not vulnerable. • http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2020-01/msg00011.html https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/34HBFTYNMQMWIO2GGK7DB6KV4M6R5YPV https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/D5R73AYE53QA32KTMHUVKCX6E52CIS43 https://seclists.org/bugtraq/2020/Jan/21 https://security.gentoo.org/glsa/202003-56 https://www.debian.org/security/2020/dsa-4602 https://xenbits.xen.org/xsa/advisory-307.html • CWE-835: Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition ('Infinite Loop') •

An issue was discovered in Xen through 4.12.x allowing x86 HVM/PVH guest OS users to cause a denial of service (guest OS crash) because VMX VMEntry checks mishandle a certain case. Please see XSA-260 for background on the MovSS shadow. Please see XSA-156 for background on the need for #DB interception. The VMX VMEntry checks do not like the exact combination of state which occurs when #DB in intercepted, Single Stepping is active, and blocked by STI/MovSS is active, despite this being a legitimate state to be in. The resulting VMEntry failure is fatal to the guest. • http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2020-01/msg00011.html https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/34HBFTYNMQMWIO2GGK7DB6KV4M6R5YPV https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/D5R73AYE53QA32KTMHUVKCX6E52CIS43 https://seclists.org/bugtraq/2020/Jan/21 https://security.gentoo.org/glsa/202003-56 https://www.debian.org/security/2020/dsa-4602 https://xenbits.xen.org/xsa/advisory-308.html •

Arbitrary command execution is possible in Git before 2.20.2, 2.21.x before 2.21.1, 2.22.x before 2.22.2, 2.23.x before 2.23.1, and 2.24.x before 2.24.1 because a "git submodule update" operation can run commands found in the .gitmodules file of a malicious repository. • http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2020-01/msg00056.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2020-05/msg00003.html http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/12/13/1 https://gitlab.com/gitlab-com/gl-security/disclosures/blob/master/003_git_submodule/advisory.md https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/HCYSSCA5ZTEP46SB4XRPSQGFV2L3NKMZ https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/mes • CWE-78: Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command ('OS Command Injection') CWE-862: Missing Authorization •

Type confusion in JavaScript in Google Chrome prior to 79.0.3945.79 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. Una confusión de tipo en JavaScript en Google Chrome versiones anteriores a la versión 79.0.3945.79, permitió a un atacante remoto explotar potencialmente una corrupción de la pila por medio de una página HTML especialmente diseñada. • https://github.com/HaboobLab/CVE-2019-13764 http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-12/msg00032.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-12/msg00036.html https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:4238 https://chromereleases.googleblog.com/2019/12/stable-channel-update-for-desktop.html https://crbug.com/1028863 https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/2Z5M4FPUMDNX2LDPHJKN5ZV5GIS2AKNU https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archi • CWE-843: Access of Resource Using Incompatible Type ('Type Confusion') •

Insufficient policy enforcement in downloads in Google Chrome on Windows prior to 79.0.3945.79 allowed a local attacker to spoof downloaded files via local code. Una aplicación de política insuficiente en downloads en Google Chrome en Windows versiones anteriores a la versión 79.0.3945.79, permitió a un atacante local falsificar los archivos descargados por medio de un código local. • http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-12/msg00032.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-12/msg00036.html https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:4238 https://chromereleases.googleblog.com/2019/12/stable-channel-update-for-desktop.html https://crbug.com/1004212 https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/2Z5M4FPUMDNX2LDPHJKN5ZV5GIS2AKNU https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/m • CWE-667: Improper Locking •
