CVE-2024-42263 – drm/v3d: Fix potential memory leak in the timestamp extension
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2024-42263
17 Aug 2024 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/v3d: Fix potential memory leak in the timestamp extension If fetching of userspace memory fails during the main loop, all drm sync objs looked up until that point will be leaked because of the missing drm_syncobj_put. Fix it by exporting and using a common cleanup helper. 17 Aug 2024 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/v3d: Validate passed in drm syncobj handles in the timestamp extension If userspace provides an unknown or invalid handle anywhere in the handle array the rest of the driver will not handle that well. Fix it by checking handle was looked up successfully or otherwise fail the extension by jumping into the existing unwind. CVE-2024-42259 – drm/i915/gem: Fix Virtual Memory mapping boundaries calculation
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2024-42259
14 Aug 2024 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/i915/gem: Fix Virtual Memory mapping boundaries calculation Calculating the size of the mapped area as the lesser value between the requested size and the actual size does not consider the partial mapping offset. This can cause page fault access. Fix the calculation of the starting and ending addresses, the total size is now deduced from the difference between the end and start addresses. https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2024-42258
12 Aug 2024 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm: huge_memory: use !CONFIG_64BIT to relax huge page alignment on 32 bit machines Yves-Alexis Perez reported commit 4ef9ad19e176 ("mm: huge_memory: don't force huge page alignment on 32 bit") didn't work for x86_32 [1]. It is because x86_32 uses CONFIG_X86_32 instead of CONFIG_32BIT. !CONFIG_64BIT should cover all 32 bit machines. 08 Aug 2024 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpio: pca953x: fix pca953x_irq_bus_sync_unlock race Ensure that `i2c_lock' is held when setting interrupt latch and mask in pca953x_irq_bus_sync_unlock() in order to avoid races. The other (non-probe) call site pca953x_gpio_set_multiple() ensures the lock is held before calling pca953x_write_regs(). The problem occurred when a request raced against irq_bus_sync_unlock() approximately once per thousand reboots on an i.MX8MP based system. * N... • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/58a5c93bd1a6e949267400080f07e57ffe05ec34 •

CVE-2024-42250 – cachefiles: add missing lock protection when polling
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2024-42250
07 Aug 2024 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cachefiles: add missing lock protection when polling Add missing lock protection in poll routine when iterating xarray, otherwise: Even with RCU read lock held, only the slot of the radix tree is ensured to be pinned there, while the data structure (e.g. struct cachefiles_req) stored in the slot has no such guarantee. The poll routine will iterate the radix tree and dereference cachefiles_req accordingly. Thus RCU read lock is not adequate ... • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/b817e22b2e91257ace32a6768c3c003faeaa1c5c •
