CVE-2010-3904 – Linux Kernel Improper Input Validation Vulnerability
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2010-3904
The rds_page_copy_user function in net/rds/page.c in the Reliable Datagram Sockets (RDS) protocol implementation in the Linux kernel before 2.6.36 does not properly validate addresses obtained from user space, which allows local users to gain privileges via crafted use of the sendmsg and recvmsg system calls. Linux Kernel contains an improper input validation vulnerability in the Reliable Datagram Sockets (RDS) protocol implementation that allows local users to gain privileges via crafted use of the sendmsg and recvmsg system calls. • https://www.exploit-db.com/exploits/44677 https://www.exploit-db.com/exploits/15285 http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git%3Ba=commit%3Bh=799c10559d60f159ab2232203f222f18fa3c4a5f http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2010-10/msg00008.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2010-11/msg00004.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2011-02/msg00000.html http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/155751/vReliable-Datagram-Sockets-RDS-rds_ • CWE-119: Improper Restriction of Operations within the Bounds of a Memory Buffer CWE-1284: Improper Validation of Specified Quantity in Input •
CVE-2010-3702 – xpdf: uninitialized Gfx::parser pointer dereference
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2010-3702
The Gfx::getPos function in the PDF parser in xpdf before 3.02pl5, poppler 0.8.7 and possibly other versions up to 0.15.1, CUPS, kdegraphics, and possibly other products allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via unknown vectors that trigger an uninitialized pointer dereference. • ftp://ftp.foolabs.com/pub/xpdf/xpdf-3.02pl5.patch http://cgit.freedesktop.org/poppler/poppler/commit/?id=e853106b58d6b4b0467dbd6436c9bb1cfbd372cf http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/package-announce/2010-November/050268.html http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/package-announce/2010-November/050285.html http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/package-announce/2010-November/050390.html http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/package-announce/2010-October/049392.html http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/package • CWE-476: NULL Pointer Dereference •
CVE-2010-3442 – kernel: prevent heap corruption in snd_ctl_new()
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2010-3442
Multiple integer overflows in the snd_ctl_new function in sound/core/control.c in the Linux kernel before 2.6.36-rc5-next-20100929 allow local users to cause a denial of service (heap memory corruption) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted (1) SNDRV_CTL_IOCTL_ELEM_ADD or (2) SNDRV_CTL_IOCTL_ELEM_REPLACE ioctl call. • http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/tiwai/sound-2.6.git%3Ba=commit%3Bh=5591bf07225523600450edd9e6ad258bb877b779 http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/package-announce/2010-December/052513.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2010-12/msg00004.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2011-01/msg00000.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2011-01/msg00001.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2011-02/msg00000.html http://list • CWE-190: Integer Overflow or Wraparound •
CVE-2010-3297 – kernel: drivers/net/eql.c: reading uninitialized stack memory
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2010-3297
The eql_g_master_cfg function in drivers/net/eql.c in the Linux kernel before 2.6.36-rc5 does not properly initialize a certain structure member, which allows local users to obtain potentially sensitive information from kernel stack memory via an EQL_GETMASTRCFG ioctl call. • http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/davem/net-2.6.git%3Ba=commit%3Bh=44467187dc22fdd33a1a06ea0ba86ce20be3fe3c http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2010-10/msg00003.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2010-11/msg00000.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2011-02/msg00000.html http://lkml.org/lkml/2010/9/11/168 http://secunia.com/advisories/41440 http://secunia.com/advisories/42758 http://secunia.com/advisories/43161 http:/ • CWE-909: Missing Initialization of Resource •
CVE-2010-2943 – XFS - Deleted Inode Local Information Disclosure
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2010-2943
The xfs implementation in the Linux kernel before 2.6.35 does not look up inode allocation btrees before reading inode buffers, which allows remote authenticated users to read unlinked files, or read or overwrite disk blocks that are currently assigned to an active file but were previously assigned to an unlinked file, by accessing a stale NFS filehandle. • https://www.exploit-db.com/exploits/15155 http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.file-systems.xfs.general/33767 http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.file-systems.xfs.general/33768 http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.file-systems.xfs.general/33769 http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.file-systems.xfs.general/33771 http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git%3Ba=commit%3Bh=1920779e67cbf5ea8afef317777c5bf2b8096188 http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2& • CWE-200: Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor •
