CVE-2022-45059
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-45059
An issue was discovered in Varnish Cache 7.x before 7.1.2 and 7.2.x before 7.2.1. A request smuggling attack can be performed on Varnish Cache servers by requesting that certain headers are made hop-by-hop, preventing the Varnish Cache servers from forwarding critical headers to the backend. • https://github.com/martinvks/CVE-2022-45059-demo https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/G6ZMOZVBLZXHEV5VRW4I4SOWLQEK5OF5 https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/M4KVVCIQVINQQ2D7ORNARSYALMJUMP3I https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/XGF6LFTHXCSYMYUX5HLMVXQH3WHCSFLU https://varnish-cache.org/security/VSV00010.html • CWE-444: Inconsistent Interpretation of HTTP Requests ('HTTP Request/Response Smuggling') •
CVE-2022-45061 – python: CPU denial of service via inefficient IDNA decoder
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-45061
An issue was discovered in Python before 3.11.1. An unnecessary quadratic algorithm exists in one path when processing some inputs to the IDNA (RFC 3490) decoder, such that a crafted, unreasonably long name being presented to the decoder could lead to a CPU denial of service. Hostnames are often supplied by remote servers that could be controlled by a malicious actor; in such a scenario, they could trigger excessive CPU consumption on the client attempting to make use of an attacker-supplied supposed hostname. For example, the attack payload could be placed in the Location header of an HTTP response with status code 302. A fix is planned in 3.11.1, 3.10.9, 3.9.16, 3.8.16, and 3.7.16. • https://github.com/python/cpython/issues/98433 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2023/05/msg00024.html https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2023/06/msg00039.html https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/2AOUKI72ACV6CHY2QUFO6VK2DNMVJ2MB https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/35YDIWCUMWTMDBWFRAVENFH6BLB65D6S https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/4WBZJNS • CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption CWE-407: Inefficient Algorithmic Complexity •
CVE-2022-39377 – sysstat Incorrect Buffer Size calculation on 32-bit systems results in RCE via buffer overflow
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-39377
sysstat is a set of system performance tools for the Linux operating system. On 32 bit systems, in versions 9.1.16 and newer but prior to 12.7.1, allocate_structures contains a size_t overflow in sa_common.c. The allocate_structures function insufficiently checks bounds before arithmetic multiplication, allowing for an overflow in the size allocated for the buffer representing system activities. This issue may lead to Remote Code Execution (RCE). This issue has been patched in version 12.7.1. sysstat es un conjunto de herramientas de rendimiento del System para el sistema operativo Linux. • https://github.com/sysstat/sysstat/security/advisories/GHSA-q8r6-g56f-9w7x https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2022/11/msg00014.html https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/6F26ALXWYHT4LN2AHPZM34OQEXTJE3JZ https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/7X6WKTODOUDV6M3HZMASYNZP6EM4N7W4 https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/PHUVUDIVDJZ7AVXD3XX3NBXXXKPOKN3N https://security.gentoo.org& • CWE-120: Buffer Copy without Checking Size of Input ('Classic Buffer Overflow') CWE-131: Incorrect Calculation of Buffer Size •
CVE-2022-3821 – systemd: buffer overrun in format_timespan() function
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-3821
An off-by-one Error issue was discovered in Systemd in format_timespan() function of time-util.c. An attacker could supply specific values for time and accuracy that leads to buffer overrun in format_timespan(), leading to a Denial of Service. CVE-2022-42920 – Apache Commons BCEL prior to 6.6.0 allows producing arbitrary bytecode via out-of-bounds writing
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-42920
Apache Commons BCEL has a number of APIs that would normally only allow changing specific class characteristics. However, due to an out-of-bounds writing issue, these APIs can be used to produce arbitrary bytecode. This could be abused in applications that pass attacker-controllable data to those APIs, giving the attacker more control over the resulting bytecode than otherwise expected. Update to Apache Commons BCEL 6.6.0.
