CVE-2018-6063 – chromium-browser: incorrect permissions on shared memory
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-6063
Incorrect use of mojo::WrapSharedMemoryHandle in Mojo in Google Chrome prior to 65.0.3325.146 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to perform an out of bounds memory write via a crafted HTML page. Chromium suffers from an issue where calling mojo::WrapSharedMemoryHandle is insufficient to produce read-only descriptors for IPC. • http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/103297 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:0484 https://chromereleases.googleblog.com/2018/03/stable-channel-update-for-desktop.html https://crbug.com/792900 https://www.debian.org/security/2018/dsa-4182 https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2018-6063 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1552480 • CWE-787: Out-of-bounds Write •
CVE-2016-9600 – jasper: JP2 encoder NULL pointer dereference due to uninitialized cmprof_
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2016-9600
JasPer before version 2.0.10 is vulnerable to a null pointer dereference was found in the decoded creation of JPEG 2000 image files. A specially crafted file could cause an application using JasPer to crash. • https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2017:1208 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1410026 https://usn.ubuntu.com/3693-1 https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2016-9600 • CWE-476: NULL Pointer Dereference •
CVE-2018-6057 – chromium-browser: incorrect permissions on shared memory
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-6057
Lack of special casing of Android ashmem in Google Chrome prior to 65.0.3325.146 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to bypass inter-process read only guarantees via a crafted HTML page. Chromium suffers from an issues where read-only SharedMemory descriptors on Android are writable. • http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/103297 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:0484 https://chromereleases.googleblog.com/2018/03/stable-channel-update-for-desktop.html https://crbug.com/789959 https://www.debian.org/security/2018/dsa-4182 https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2018-6057 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1552479 • CWE-732: Incorrect Permission Assignment for Critical Resource •
CVE-2018-1071 – zsh: Stack-based buffer overflow in exec.c:hashcmd()
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-1071
zsh through version 5.4.2 is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow in the exec.c:hashcmd() function. • http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/103359 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:3073 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1553531 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2018/03/msg00038.html https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2020/12/msg00000.html https://security.gentoo.org/glsa/201805-10 https://usn.ubuntu.com/3608-1 https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2018-1071 • CWE-121: Stack-based Buffer Overflow CWE-787: Out-of-bounds Write •
CVE-2018-7740 – kernel: Denial of service in resv_map_release function in mm/hugetlb.c
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-7740
The resv_map_release function in mm/hugetlb.c in the Linux kernel through 4.15.7 allows local users to cause a denial of service (BUG) via a crafted application that makes mmap system calls and has a large pgoff argument to the remap_file_pages system call.
