CVE-2019-1615 – Cisco NX-OS Software Image Signature Verification Vulnerability
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-1615
A vulnerability in the Image Signature Verification feature of Cisco NX-OS Software could allow an authenticated, local attacker with administrator-level credentials to install a malicious software image on an affected device. The vulnerability is due to improper verification of digital signatures for software images. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by loading an unsigned software image on an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to boot a malicious software image. Note: The fix for this vulnerability requires a BIOS upgrade as part of the software upgrade. • http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/107397 https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-20190306-nxos-sig-verif • CWE-347: Improper Verification of Cryptographic Signature •
CVE-2019-1613 – Cisco NX-OS Software CLI Command Injection Vulnerability (CVE-2019-1613)
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-1613
A vulnerability in the CLI of Cisco NX-OS Software could allow an authenticated, local attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system of an affected device. The vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of arguments passed to certain CLI commands. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by including malicious input as the argument of an affected command. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system with elevated privileges. An attacker would need valid administrator credentials to exploit this vulnerability. • http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/107392 https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-20190306-nxos-cmdinj-1613 • CWE-77: Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in a Command ('Command Injection') CWE-88: Improper Neutralization of Argument Delimiters in a Command ('Argument Injection') •
CVE-2019-1585 – Cisco Nexus 9000 Series Fabric Switches Application-Centric Infrastructure Mode Privilege Escalation Vulnerability
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-1585
A vulnerability in the controller authorization functionality of Cisco Nexus 9000 Series ACI Mode Switch Software could allow an authenticated, local attacker to escalate standard users with root privilege on an affected device. The vulnerability is due to a misconfiguration of certain sudoers files for the bashroot component on an affected device. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by authenticating to the affected device with a crafted user ID, which may allow temporary administrative access to escalate privileges. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to escalate privileges on an affected device. This Vulnerability has been fixed in version 4.0(1h) Una vulnerabilidad en la funcionalidad de autorización de Cisco Nexus 9000 Series ACI Mode Switch Software puede permitir a un atacante local autenticado escalar usuarios estándares con privilegios root en un dispositivo afectado. • http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/107312 https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-20190306-aci-controller-privsec • CWE-16: Configuration •
CVE-2018-0372
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-0372
A vulnerability in the DHCPv6 feature of the Cisco Nexus 9000 Series Fabric Switches in Application-Centric Infrastructure (ACI) Mode could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause the device to run low on system memory, which could result in a Denial of Service (DoS) condition on an affected system. The vulnerability is due to improper memory management when DHCPv6 packets are received on an interface of the targeted device. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a high number of malicious DHCPv6 packets to be processed by an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the system to run low on memory, which could cause an eventual reboot of an affected device. The vulnerability only applies to IPv6 protocol packets and not for IPv4 protocol packets. • http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1041348 https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-20180718-nexus-9000-dos • CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption •
CVE-2018-0306
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-0306
A vulnerability in the CLI parser of Cisco NX-OS Software could allow an authenticated, local attacker to perform a command-injection attack on an affected device. The vulnerability is due to insufficient input validation of command arguments. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by injecting malicious command arguments into a vulnerable CLI command. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary commands with root privileges on the affected device. Note: This vulnerability requires that any feature license is uploaded to the device. • http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1041169 https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-20180620-nx-os-cli-execution • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation CWE-78: Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command ('OS Command Injection') •
