In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/nouveau: fix off by one in BIOS boundary checking Bounds checking when parsing init scripts embedded in the BIOS reject access to the last byte. This causes driver initialization to fail on Apple eMac's with GeForce 2 MX GPUs, leaving the system with no working console. This is probably only seen on OpenFirmware machines like PowerPC Macs because the BIOS image provided by OF is only the used parts of the ROM, not a power-of-two blocks read from PCI directly so PCs always have empty bytes at the end that are never accessed. • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/4d4e9907ff572bb1d1c0f6913ad6e3d6d4525077 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/d4b746e60fd8eaa8016e144223abe91158edcdad https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/909d3ec1bf9f0ec534bfc081b77c0836fea7b0e2 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/b2a21669ee98aafc41c6d42ef15af4dab9e6e882 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/acc887ba88333f5fec49631f12d8cc7ebd95781c https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/f071d9fa857582d7bd77f4906691f73d3edeab73 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/d877e814a62b7de9069aeff8bc1d979dfc996e06 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/e7c36fa8a1e63b08312162179c78a0c77 •

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/kmemleak: avoid scanning potential huge holes When using devm_request_free_mem_region() and devm_memremap_pages() to add ZONE_DEVICE memory, if requested free mem region's end pfn were huge(e.g., 0x400000000), the node_end_pfn() will be also huge (see move_pfn_range_to_zone()). Thus it creates a huge hole between node_start_pfn() and node_end_pfn(). We found on some AMD APUs, amdkfd requested such a free mem region and created a huge hole. In such a case, following code snippet was just doing busy test_bit() looping on the huge hole. for (pfn = start_pfn; pfn < end_pfn; pfn++) { struct page *page = pfn_to_online_page(pfn); if (!page) continue; ... } So we got a soft lockup: watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#6 stuck for 26s! In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: fix error handling in ext4_fc_record_modified_inode() Current code does not fully takes care of krealloc() error case, which could lead to silent memory corruption or a kernel bug. This patch fixes that. Also it cleans up some duplicated error handling logic from various functions in fast_commit.c file. • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/62e46e0ffc02daa8fcfc02f7a932cc8a19601b19 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/1b6762ecdf3cf12113772427c904aa3c420a1802 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/14aa3f49c7fc6424763f4323bfbc3a807b0727dc https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/cdce59a1549190b66f8e3fe465c2b2f714b98a94 •

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tipc: improve size validations for received domain records The function tipc_mon_rcv() allows a node to receive and process domain_record structs from peer nodes to track their views of the network topology. This patch verifies that the number of members in a received domain record does not exceed the limit defined by MAX_MON_DOMAIN, something that may otherwise lead to a stack overflow. tipc_mon_rcv() is called from the function tipc_link_proto_rcv(), where we are reading a 32 bit message data length field into a uint16. To avert any risk of bit overflow, we add an extra sanity check for this in that function. We cannot see that happen with the current code, but future designers being unaware of this risk, may introduce it by allowing delivery of very large (> 64k) sk buffers from the bearer layer. This potential problem was identified by Eric Dumazet. • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/35c55c9877f8de0ab129fa1a309271d0ecc868b9 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/175db196e45d6f0e6047eccd09c8ba55465eb131 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/fde4ddeadd099bf9fbb9ccbee8e1b5c20d530a2d https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/f1af11edd08dd8376f7a84487cbb0ea8203e3a1d https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/d692e3406e052dbf9f6d9da0cba36cb763272529 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/3c7e5943553594f68bbc070683db6bb6f6e9e78e https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/1f1788616157b0222b0c2153828b475d95e374a7 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/59ff7514f8c56f166aadca49bcecfa028 •
