In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: bridge: confirm multicast packets before passing them up the stack conntrack nf_confirm logic cannot handle cloned skbs referencing the same nf_conn entry, which will happen for multicast (broadcast) frames on bridges. Example: macvlan0 | br0 / \ ethX ethY ethX (or Y) receives a L2 multicast or broadcast packet containing an IP packet, flow is not yet in conntrack table. 1. skb passes through bridge and fake-ip (br_netfilter)Prerouting. -> skb->_nfct now references a unconfirmed entry 2. skb is broad/mcast packet. bridge now passes clones out on each bridge interface. 3. skb gets passed up the stack. 4. In macvlan case, macvlan driver retains clone(s) of the mcast skb and schedules a work queue to send them out on the lower devices. The clone skb->_nfct is not a copy, it is the same entry as the original skb. The macvlan rx handler then returns RX_HANDLER_PASS. 5. Normal conntrack hooks (in NF_INET_LOCAL_IN) confirm the orig skb. The Macvlan broadcast worker and normal confirm path will race. This race will not happen if step 2 already confirmed a clone. In that case later steps perform skb_clone() with skb->_nfct already confirmed (in hash table). • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/1da177e4c3f41524e886b7f1b8a0c1fc7321cac2 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/7c3f28599652acf431a2211168de4a583f30b6d5 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2b1414d5e94e477edff1d2c79030f1d742625ea0 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/80cd0487f630b5382734997c3e5e3003a77db315 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/cb734975b0ffa688ff6cc0eed463865bf07b6c01 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/62e7151ae3eb465e0ab52a20c941ff33bb6332e9 https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2024-27415 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2281101 •

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring: drop any code related to SCM_RIGHTS This is dead code after we dropped support for passing io_uring fds over SCM_RIGHTS, get rid of it. A flaw was found in the Linux kernel that addresses the removal of dead code related to `SCM_RIGHTS` support within the `io_uring`. This code was deemed unnecessary after the kernel dropped the ability to pass `io_uring` file descriptors over `SCM_RIGHTS`. • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/cfb24022bb2c31f1f555dc6bc3cc5e2547446fb3 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a6771f343af90a25f3a14911634562bb5621df02 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/d909d381c3152393421403be4b6435f17a2378b4 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a3812a47a32022ca76bf46ddacdd823dc2aabf8b https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/88c49d9c896143cdc0f77197c4dcf24140375e89 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/6e5e6d274956305f1fc0340522b38f5f5be74bdb https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2024/06/msg00017.html https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2023 •

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: firewire: nosy: ensure user_length is taken into account when fetching packet contents Ensure that packet_buffer_get respects the user_length provided. If the length of the head packet exceeds the user_length, packet_buffer_get will now return 0 to signify to the user that no data were read and a larger buffer size is required. Helps prevent user space overflows. • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/67f34f093c0f7bf33f5b4ae64d3d695a3b978285 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/7b8c7bd2296e95b38a6ff346242356a2e7190239 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/cca330c59c54207567a648357835f59df9a286bb https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/79f988d3ffc1aa778fc5181bdfab312e57956c6b https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/4ee0941da10e8fdcdb34756b877efd3282594c1f https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/1fe60ee709436550f8cfbab01295936b868d5baa https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/539d51ac48bcfcfa1b3d4a85f8df92fa22c1d41c https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/38762a0763c10c24a4915feee722d7aa6 •

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: aqc111: check packet for fixup for true limit If a device sends a packet that is inbetween 0 and sizeof(u64) the value passed to skb_trim() as length will wrap around ending up as some very large value. The driver will then proceed to parse the header located at that position, which will either oops or process some random value. The fix is to check against sizeof(u64) rather than 0, which the driver currently does. The issue exists since the introduction of the driver. • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/84f2e5b3e70f08fce3cb1ff73414631c5e490204 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/d69581c17608d81824dd497d9a54b6a5b6139975 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/46412b2fb1f9cc895d6d4036bf24f640b5d86dab https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/82c386d73689a45d5ee8c1290827bce64056dddd https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2ebf775f0541ae0d474836fa0cf3220e502f8e3e https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/ccab434e674ca95d483788b1895a70c21b7f016a •
