CVE-2020-1567 – MSHTML Engine Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2020-1567
A remote code execution vulnerability exists in the way that the MSHTML engine improperly validates input. An attacker could execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user. If the current user is logged on with administrative user rights, an attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could take control of an affected system. An attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights. In a HTML editing attack scenario, an attacker could trick a user into editing a specially crafted file that is designed to exploit the vulnerability. The security update addresses the vulnerability by modifying how MSHTML engine validates input. • https://portal.msrc.microsoft.com/en-US/security-guidance/advisory/CVE-2020-1567 •
CVE-2020-1565 – Windows Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2020-1565
An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists when the "Public Account Pictures" folder improperly handles junctions. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker would first have to gain execution on the victim system. An attacker could then run a specially crafted application to elevate privileges. The security update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how Windows handles junctions. • https://portal.msrc.microsoft.com/en-US/security-guidance/advisory/CVE-2020-1565 •
CVE-2020-1566 – Windows Kernel Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2020-1566
An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists when the Windows kernel fails to properly handle objects in memory. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could run arbitrary code in kernel mode. An attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker would first have to log on to the system. An attacker could then run a specially crafted application to take control of an affected system. The update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how the Windows kernel handles objects in memory. • https://portal.msrc.microsoft.com/en-US/security-guidance/advisory/CVE-2020-1566 •
CVE-2020-1564 – Jet Database Engine Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2020-1564
A remote code execution vulnerability exists when the Windows Jet Database Engine improperly handles objects in memory. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could execute arbitrary code on a victim system. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by enticing a victim to open a specially crafted file. The update addresses the vulnerability by correcting the way the Windows Jet Database Engine handles objects in memory. • https://portal.msrc.microsoft.com/en-US/security-guidance/advisory/CVE-2020-1564 •
CVE-2020-1562 – Microsoft Graphics Components Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2020-1562
A remote code execution vulnerability exists in the way that Microsoft Graphics Components handle objects in memory. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could execute arbitrary code on a target system. To exploit the vulnerability, a user would have to open a specially crafted file. The security update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how Microsoft Graphics Components handle objects in memory.
