25 Nov 2024 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvme: tcp: avoid race between queue_lock lock and destroy Commit 76d54bf20cdc ("nvme-tcp: don't access released socket during error recovery") added a mutex_lock() call for the queue->queue_lock in nvme_tcp_get_address(). However, the mutex_lock() races with mutex_destroy() in nvme_tcp_free_queue(), and causes the WARN below. 25 Nov 2024 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Check validity of link->type in bpf_link_show_fdinfo() If a newly-added link type doesn't invoke BPF_LINK_TYPE(), accessing bpf_link_type_strs[link->type] may result in an out-of-bounds access. 21 Nov 2024 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: Fix use-after-free of network namespace. Recently, we got a customer report that CIFS triggers oops while reconnecting to a server. [0] The workload runs on Kubernetes, and some pods mount CIFS servers in non-root network namespaces. The problem rarely happened, but it was always while the pod was dying. The root cause is wrong reference counting for network namespace. 21 Nov 2024 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/siw: Add sendpage_ok() check to disable MSG_SPLICE_PAGES While running ISER over SIW, the initiator machine encounters a warning from skb_splice_from_iter() indicating that a slab page is being used in send_page. To address this, it is better to add a sendpage_ok() check within the driver itself, and if it returns 0, then MSG_SPLICE_PAGES flag should be disabled before entering the network stack. A similar issue has been discussed f... • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/3406bfc813a9bbd9c3055795e985f527b7852e8c •

21 Nov 2024 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvme-multipath: defer partition scanning We need to suppress the partition scan from occuring within the controller's scan_work context. If a path error occurs here, the IO will wait until a path becomes available or all paths are torn down, but that action also occurs within scan_work, so it would deadlock. Defer the partion scan to a different context that does not block scan_work. • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/60de2e03f984cfbcdc12fa552f95087c35a05a98 •
