dom4j version prior to version 2.1.1 contains a CWE-91: XML Injection vulnerability in Class: Element. Methods: addElement, addAttribute that can result in an attacker tampering with XML documents through XML injection. This attack appear to be exploitable via an attacker specifying attributes or elements in the XML document. This vulnerability appears to have been fixed in 2.1.1 or later. dom4j en versiones anteriores a la 2.1.1 contiene una vulnerabilidad CWE-91: Inyección XML en Clase: Element. Métodos: addElement, addAttribute que puede resulta en que un atacante manipule documentos XML mediante la inyección XML. • https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:0362 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:0364 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:0365 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:0380 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:1159 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:1160 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:1161 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:1162 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:3172 https://github.com/dom4j/dom4j/commit&# • CWE-88: Improper Neutralization of Argument Delimiters in a Command ('Argument Injection') CWE-91: XML Injection (aka Blind XPath Injection) •

It was found that the JAXP implementation used in JBoss EAP 7.0 for SAX and DOM parsing is vulnerable to certain XXE flaws. An attacker could use this flaw to cause DoS, SSRF, or information disclosure if they are able to provide XML content for parsing. • http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/98450 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=CVE-2017-7464 • CWE-611: Improper Restriction of XML External Entity Reference •

WildFly Core before version 6.0.0.Alpha3 does not properly validate file paths in .war archives, allowing for the extraction of crafted .war archives to overwrite arbitrary files. This is an instance of the 'Zip Slip' vulnerability. It was found that the explode function of the deployment utility in jboss-cli and console that allows extraction of files from an archive does not perform necessary validation for directory traversal. • https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2276 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2277 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2279 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2423 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2424 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2425 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2428 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2643 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:0877 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug. • CWE-22: Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') •

An improper handing of overflow in the UTF-8 decoder with supplementary characters can lead to an infinite loop in the decoder causing a Denial of Service. Versions Affected: Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M9 to 9.0.7, 8.5.0 to 8.5.30, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.51, and 7.0.28 to 7.0.86. • http://mail-archives.us.apache.org/mod_mbox/www-announce/201807.mbox/%3C20180722090435.GA60759%40minotaur.apache.org%3E http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/104898 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1041375 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHEA-2018:2188 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHEA-2018:2189 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2700 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2701 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2740 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-20 • CWE-835: Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition ('Infinite Loop') •

It is possible to configure Apache CXF to use the com.sun.net.ssl implementation via 'System.setProperty("java.protocol.handler.pkgs", "com.sun.net.ssl.internal.www.protocol");'. When this system property is set, CXF uses some reflection to try to make the HostnameVerifier work with the old com.sun.net.ssl.HostnameVerifier interface. However, the default HostnameVerifier implementation in CXF does not implement the method in this interface, and an exception is thrown. However, in Apache CXF prior to 3.2.5 and 3.1.16 the exception is caught in the reflection code and not properly propagated. What this means is that if you are using the com.sun.net.ssl stack with CXF, an error with TLS hostname verification will not be thrown, leaving a CXF client subject to man-in-the-middle attacks. • https://github.com/tafamace/CVE-2018-8039 http://cxf.apache.org/security-advisories.data/CVE-2018-8039.txt.asc?version=1&modificationDate=1530184663000&api=v2 http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/106357 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1041199 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2276 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2277 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2279 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2423 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2424 htt • CWE-248: Uncaught Exception CWE-755: Improper Handling of Exceptional Conditions •
