CVE-2023-22402 – Junos OS Evolved: The kernel might restart in a BGP scenario where "bgp auto-discovery" is enabled and such a neighbor flaps
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2023-22402
A Use After Free vulnerability in the kernel of Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS). In a Non Stop Routing (NSR) scenario, an unexpected kernel restart might be observed if "bgp auto-discovery" is enabled and if there is a BGP neighbor flap of auto-discovery sessions for any reason. This is a race condition which is outside of an attackers direct control and it depends on system internal timing whether this issue occurs. This issue affects Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved: 21.3 versions prior to 21.3R3-EVO; 21.4 versions prior to 21.4R2-EVO; 22.1 versions prior to 22.1R2-EVO; 22.2 versions prior to 22.2R1-S1-EVO, 22.2R2-EVO. Una vulnerabilidad Use-After-Free en el núcleo de Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved permite que un atacante no autenticado basado en la red provoque una denegación de servicio (DoS). • https://kb.juniper.net/JSA70198 • CWE-416: Use After Free •
CVE-2023-22401 – Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved: PTX10008, PTX10016: When a specific SNMP MIB is queried the FPC will crash
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2023-22401
An Improper Validation of Array Index vulnerability in the Advanced Forwarding Toolkit Manager daemon (aftmand) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS). On the PTX10008 and PTX10016 platforms running Junos OS or Junos OS Evolved, when a specific SNMP MIB is queried this will cause a PFE crash and the FPC will go offline and not automatically recover. A system restart is required to get the affected FPC in an operational state again. This issue affects: Juniper Networks Junos OS 22.1 version 22.1R2 and later versions; 22.1 versions prior to 22.1R3; 22.2 versions prior to 22.2R2. Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved 21.3-EVO version 21.3R3-EVO and later versions; 21.4-EVO version 21.4R1-S2-EVO, 21.4R2-EVO and later versions prior to 21.4R2-S1-EVO; 22.1-EVO version 22.1R2-EVO and later versions prior to 22.1R3-EVO; 22.2-EVO versions prior to 22.2R1-S1-EVO, 22.2R2-EVO. • https://kb.juniper.net/JSA70197 • CWE-129: Improper Validation of Array Index •
CVE-2023-22393 – Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved: RPD crash upon receipt of BGP route with invalid next-hop
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2023-22393
An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in BGP route processing of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an attacker to cause Routing Protocol Daemon (RPD) crash by sending a BGP route with invalid next-hop resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). Continued receipt and processing of this packet will create a sustained Denial of Service (DoS) condition. This issue only affects systems without import policy configured. This issue affects: Juniper Networks Junos OS 21.1 versions prior to 21.1R3-S4; 21.2 versions prior to 21.2R3-S3; 21.3 versions prior to 21.3R3-S2; 21.4 versions prior to 21.4R2-S2, 21.4R3; 22.1 versions prior to 22.1R1-S2, 22.1R2; 22.2 versions prior to 22.2R1-S1, 22.2R2. Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved 21.4-EVO versions prior to 21.4R2-S2-EVO, 21.4R3-EVO; 22.1-EVO versions prior to 22.1R1-S2-EVO, 22.1R2-EVO; 22.2-EVO versions prior to 22.2R1-S1-EVO, 22.2R2-EVO. • https://kb.juniper.net/JSA70189 • CWE-358: Improperly Implemented Security Check for Standard CWE-754: Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions •
CVE-2022-22230 – Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved: RPD crash upon receipt of specific OSPFv3 LSAs
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-22230
An Improper Input Validation vulnerability in the Routing Protocol Daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an adjacent unauthenticated attacker to cause DoS (Denial of Service). If another router generates more than one specific valid OSPFv3 LSA then rpd will crash while processing these LSAs. This issue only affects systems configured with OSPFv3, while OSPFv2 is not affected. This issue affects: Juniper Networks Junos OS 19.2 versions prior to 19.2R3-S6; 19.3 version 19.3R2 and later versions; 19.4 versions prior to 19.4R2-S8, 19.4R3-S9; 20.1 version 20.1R1 and later versions; 20.2 versions prior to 20.2R3-S5; 20.3 versions prior to 20.3R3-S5; 20.4 versions prior to 20.4R3-S4; 21.1 versions prior to 21.1R3-S2; 21.2 versions prior to 21.2R3-S1; 21.3 versions prior to 21.3R3-S2; 21.4 versions prior to 21.4R2. CVE-2022-22219 – Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved: RPD core upon receipt of a specific EVPN route by a BGP route reflector in an EVPN environment
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-22219
Due to the Improper Handling of an Unexpected Data Type in the processing of EVPN routes on Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved, an attacker in direct control of a BGP client connected to a route reflector, or via a machine in the middle (MITM) attack, can send a specific EVPN route contained within a BGP Update, triggering a routing protocol daemon (RPD) crash, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) condition. Continued receipt and processing of these specific EVPN routes could create a sustained Denial of Service (DoS) condition. This issue only occurs on BGP route reflectors, only within a BGP EVPN multicast environment, and only when one or more BGP clients have 'leave-sync-route-oldstyle' enabled. This issue affects: Juniper Networks Junos OS 21.3 versions prior to 21.3R3-S2; 21.4 versions prior to 21.4R2-S2, 21.4R3; 22.1 versions prior to 22.1R1-S2, 22.1R3; 22.2 versions prior to 22.2R2. Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved 21.3 version 21.3R1-EVO and later versions prior to 21.4R3-EVO; 22.1 versions prior to 22.1R1-S2-EVO, 22.1R3-EVO; 22.2 versions prior to 22.2R2-EVO. • https://kb.juniper.net/JSA69898 https://www.juniper.net/documentation/us/en/software/junos/evpn-vxlan/topics/ref/statement/evpn-edit-routing-instances-protocols.html • CWE-241: Improper Handling of Unexpected Data Type •
