CVE-2012-5784 – axis: missing connection hostname check against X.509 certificate name
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2012-5784
Apache Axis 1.4 and earlier, as used in PayPal Payments Pro, PayPal Mass Pay, PayPal Transactional Information SOAP, the Java Message Service implementation in Apache ActiveMQ, and other products, does not verify that the server hostname matches a domain name in the subject's Common Name (CN) or subjectAltName field of the X.509 certificate, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof SSL servers via an arbitrary valid certificate. Apache Axis did not verify that the server host name matched the domain name in the subject's Common Name (CN) or subjectAltName field in X.509 certificates. This could allow a man-in-the-middle attacker to spoof an SSL server if they had a certificate that was valid for any domain name. • http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-06/msg00007.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-06/msg00022.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2013-0269.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2013-0683.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2014-0037.html http://secunia.com/advisories/51219 http://www.cs.utexas.edu/~shmat/shmat_ccs12.pdf http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/56408 https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/vulnerabilities/79829 ht • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation •
CVE-2007-2353 – Apache AXIS 1.0 - Non-Existent WSDL Path Information Disclosure
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2007-2353
Apache Axis 1.0 allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information by requesting a non-existent WSDL file, which reveals the installation path in the resulting exception message. Apache Axis 1.0 permite a atacantes remotos obtener información confidencial al solicitar un fichero WSDL no existente, lo cual revela la ruta de instalación en el mensaje de excepción resultante. • https://www.exploit-db.com/exploits/29930 http://attrition.org/pipermail/vim/2007-April/001562.html http://www.osvdb.org/34154 http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/23687 https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/vulnerabilities/34167 • CWE-200: Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor •
