The refactoring present in Apache Tomcat 9.0.28 to 9.0.30, 8.5.48 to 8.5.50 and 7.0.98 to 7.0.99 introduced a regression. The result of the regression was that invalid Transfer-Encoding headers were incorrectly processed leading to a possibility of HTTP Request Smuggling if Tomcat was located behind a reverse proxy that incorrectly handled the invalid Transfer-Encoding header in a particular manner. Such a reverse proxy is considered unlikely. La refactorización presente en Apache Tomcat versiones 9.0.28 hasta 9.0.30, versiones 8.5.48 hasta 8.5.50 y versiones 7.0.98 hasta 7.0.99, introdujo una regresión. The ASN.1 parser in Bouncy Castle Crypto (aka BC Java) 1.63 can trigger a large attempted memory allocation, and resultant OutOfMemoryError error, via crafted ASN.1 data. This is fixed in 1.64. • https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r02f887807a49cfd1f1ad53f7a61f3f8e12f60ba2c930bec163031209%40%3Ccommits.tomee.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r16c3a90cb35ae8a9c74fd5c813c16d6ac255709c9f9d71cd409e007d%40%3Ccommits.tomee.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r467ade3fef3493f1fff1a68a256d087874e1f858ad1de7a49fe05d27%40%3Ccommits.tomee.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r4d475dcaf4f57115fa57d8e06c3823ca398b35468429e7946ebaefdc%40%3Ccommits.tomee.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r79b6a6aa0dd1aeb57bd253d94794bc96f1ec005953c4bd5414cc0db0&# • CWE-770: Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling •

initDocumentParser in xml/XMLSchedulingDataProcessor.java in Terracotta Quartz Scheduler through 2.3.0 allows XXE attacks via a job description. La función initDocumentParser en el archivo xml/XMLSchedulingDataProcessor.java en Quartz Scheduler de Terracotta hasta la versión 2.3.0, permite ataques de tipo XXE por medio de una descripción del trabajo. The Terracotta Quartz Scheduler is susceptible to an XML external entity attack (XXE) through a job description. This issue stems from inadequate handling of XML external entity (XXE) declarations in the initDocumentParser function within xml/XMLSchedulingDataProcessor.java. By enticing a victim to access a maliciously crafted job description (containing XML content), a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute an XXE attack on the targeted system. • https://confluence.atlassian.com/security/ssot-117-cve-2019-13990-xxe-xml-external-entity-injection-vulnerability-in-jira-service-management-data-center-and-jira-service-management-server-1295385959.html https://github.com/quartz-scheduler/quartz/issues/467 https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/172d405e556e2f1204be126bb3eb28c5115af91bcc1651b4e870bb82%40%3Cdev.tomee.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/1870324fea41ea68cff2fd1bf6ee2747432dc1d9d22a22cc681e0ec3%40%3Cdev.tomee.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/6b6e3480b19856365fb5e • CWE-611: Improper Restriction of XML External Entity Reference •

The Apache TomEE console (tomee-webapp) has a XSS vulnerability which could allow javascript to be executed if the user is given a malicious URL. This web application is typically used to add TomEE features to a Tomcat installation. The TomEE bundles do not ship with this application included. This issue can be mitigated by removing the application after TomEE is setup (if using the application to install TomEE), using one of the provided pre-configured bundles, or by upgrading to TomEE 7.0.5. This issue is resolve in this commit: b8bbf50c23ce97dd64f3a5d77f78f84e47579863. • https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/c4b0d83a534d6cdf2de54dbbd00e3538072ac2e360781b784608ed0d%40%3Cdev.tomee.apache.org%3E • CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') •

The EjbObjectInputStream class in Apache TomEE before 1.7.4 and 7.x before 7.0.0-M3 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted serialized object. La clase EjbObjectInputStream en Apache TomEE en versiones anteriores a 1.7.4 y 7.x en versiones anteriores a 7.0.0-M3 permite a atacantes remotos ejecutar código arbitrario a través de un objeto serializado manipulado. • http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/136256/Apache-TomEE-Patched.html http://tomee-openejb.979440.n4.nabble.com/Document-resolved-vulnerability-CVE-2015-8581-td4678073.html http://tomee.apache.org/security/tomee.html http://www.securityfocus.com/archive/1/537806/100/0/threaded http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/79204 http://www.zerodayinitiative.com/advisories/ZDI-15-638 • CWE-502: Deserialization of Untrusted Data •
