CVE-2022-20622 – Cisco Embedded Wireless Controller with Catalyst Access Points IP Flood Denial of Service Vulnerability
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-20622
A vulnerability in IP ingress packet processing of the Cisco Embedded Wireless Controller with Catalyst Access Points Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause the device to reload unexpectedly, causing a denial of service (DoS) condition. The device may experience a performance degradation in traffic processing or high CPU usage prior to the unexpected reload. This vulnerability is due to improper rate limiting of IP packets to the management interface. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a steady stream of IP traffic at a high rate to the management interface of the affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the device to reload. • https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-ap-ip-flood-dos-6hxxENVQ • CWE-770: Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling •
CVE-2022-20695 – Cisco Wireless LAN Controller Management Interface Authentication Bypass Vulnerability
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-20695
A vulnerability in the authentication functionality of Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to bypass authentication controls and log in to the device through the management interface This vulnerability is due to the improper implementation of the password validation algorithm. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by logging in to an affected device with crafted credentials. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to bypass authentication and log in to the device as an administrator. The attacker could obtain privileges that are the same level as an administrative user but it depends on the crafted credentials. Note: This vulnerability exists because of a non-default device configuration that must be present for it to be exploitable. • https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-wlc-auth-bypass-JRNhV4fF • CWE-287: Improper Authentication CWE-303: Incorrect Implementation of Authentication Algorithm •
CVE-2021-1419 – Cisco Access Points SSH Management Privilege Escalation Vulnerability
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2021-1419
A vulnerability in the SSH management feature of multiple Cisco Access Points (APs) platforms could allow a local, authenticated user to modify files on the affected device and possibly gain escalated privileges. The vulnerability is due to improper checking on file operations within the SSH management interface. A network administrator user could exploit this vulnerability by accessing an affected device through SSH management to make a configuration change. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to gain privileges equivalent to the root user. Una vulnerabilidad en la función de administración SSH de varias plataformas Cisco Access Points (APs), podría permitir a un usuario local autenticado modificar archivos en el dispositivo afectado y posiblemente alcanzar privilegios escalados. • https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-cisco-ap-LLjsGxv • CWE-284: Improper Access Control •
CVE-2021-34740 – Cisco Aironet Access Points WLAN Control Protocol Packet Buffer Leak Denial of Service Vulnerability
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2021-34740
A vulnerability in the WLAN Control Protocol (WCP) implementation for Cisco Aironet Access Point (AP) software could allow an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to cause a reload of an affected device, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition. This vulnerability is due to incorrect error handling when an affected device receives an unexpected 802.11 frame. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending certain 802.11 frames over the wireless network to an interface on an affected AP. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause a packet buffer leak. This could eventually result in buffer allocation failures, which would trigger a reload of the affected device. • https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-airo-wpa-pktleak-dos-uSTyGrL • CWE-401: Missing Release of Memory after Effective Lifetime •
CVE-2020-26139 – kernel: Forwarding EAPOL from unauthenticated wifi client
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2020-26139
An issue was discovered in the kernel in NetBSD 7.1. An Access Point (AP) forwards EAPOL frames to other clients even though the sender has not yet successfully authenticated to the AP. This might be abused in projected Wi-Fi networks to launch denial-of-service attacks against connected clients and makes it easier to exploit other vulnerabilities in connected clients. Se detectó un problema en el kernel en NetBSD versión 7.1. Un punto de acceso (AP) reenvía tramas EAPOL a otros clientes aunque el remitente aún no se haya autenticado con éxito en el AP. • http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2021/05/11/12 https://cert-portal.siemens.com/productcert/pdf/ssa-913875.pdf https://github.com/vanhoefm/fragattacks/blob/master/SUMMARY.md https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2021/06/msg00019.html https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2021/06/msg00020.html https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-wifi-faf-22epcEWu https://www.arista.com/en/support/advisories-notices/security-advisories/12602-s • CWE-287: Improper Authentication CWE-829: Inclusion of Functionality from Untrusted Control Sphere •
