The implementations of EAP-PWD in hostapd EAP Server, when built against a crypto library missing explicit validation on imported elements, do not validate the scalar and element values in EAP-pwd-Commit. An attacker may be able to use invalid scalar/element values to complete authentication, gaining session key and network access without needing or learning the password. Both hostapd with SAE support and wpa_supplicant with SAE support prior to and including version 2.4 are affected. Both hostapd with EAP-pwd support and wpa_supplicant with EAP-pwd support prior to and including version 2.7 are affected. Las implementaciones del componente EAP-PWD en hostapd en EAP Server, cuando se construyen contra una biblioteca criptográfica sin comprobación explícita en elementos importados, no comprueban los valores escalares y de elementos en EAP-pwd-Commit. • http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2020-02/msg00021.html https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2019/07/msg00030.html https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/56OBBOJJSKRTDGEXZOVFSTP4HDSDBLAE https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/SVMJOFEYBGXZLFF5IOLW67SSOPKFEJP3 https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/TDOZGR3T7FVO5JSZWK2QPR7AOFIEJTIZ https://seclists.org/bugtraq& • CWE-287: Improper Authentication CWE-346: Origin Validation Error •

An issue was discovered in uriparser before 0.9.0. UriCommon.c allows attempted operations on NULL input via a uriResetUri* function. Se ha descubierto un problema en versiones anteriores a la 0.9.0 de uriparser. UriCommon.c permite el intento de operaciones en entradas NULL mediante una función uriResetUri*. • https://github.com/uriparser/uriparser/blob/uriparser-0.9.0/ChangeLog https://github.com/uriparser/uriparser/commit/f58c25069cf4a986fe17a80c5b38687e31feb539 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2018/11/msg00019.html • CWE-476: NULL Pointer Dereference •

Linux kernel versions 4.9+ can be forced to make very expensive calls to tcp_collapse_ofo_queue() and tcp_prune_ofo_queue() for every incoming packet which can lead to a denial of service. A flaw named SegmentSmack was found in the way the Linux kernel handled specially crafted TCP packets. A remote attacker could use this flaw to trigger time and calculation expensive calls to tcp_collapse_ofo_queue() and tcp_prune_ofo_queue() functions by sending specially modified packets within ongoing TCP sessions which could lead to a CPU saturation and hence a denial of service on the system. Maintaining the denial of service condition requires continuous two-way TCP sessions to a reachable open port, thus the attacks cannot be performed using spoofed IP addresses. • http://www.arubanetworks.com/assets/alert/ARUBA-PSA-2018-004.txt http://www.huawei.com/en/psirt/security-advisories/huawei-sa-20181031-02-linux-en http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/06/28/2 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/07/06/3 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/07/06/4 http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/104976 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1041424 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1041434 https://access.redhat.co • CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption •

The D-Bus security policy files in /etc/dbus-1/system.d/*.conf in fso-gsmd 0.12.0-3, fso-frameworkd 0.9.5.9+git20110512-4, and fso-usaged 0.12.0-2 as packaged in Debian, the upstream cornucopia.git (fsoaudiod, fsodatad, fsodeviced, fsogsmd, fsonetworkd, fsotdld, fsousaged) git master on 2015-01-19, the upstream framework.git 0.10.1 and git master on 2015-01-19, phonefsod 0.1+git20121018-1 as packaged in Debian, Ubuntu and potentially other packages, and potentially other fso modules do not properly filter D-Bus message paths, which might allow local users to cause a denial of service (dbus-daemon memory consumption), or execute arbitrary code as root by sending a crafted D-Bus message to any D-Bus system service. • http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2015/01/27/25 http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/72363 https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/vulnerabilities/100488 • CWE-264: Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls •
