CVE-2022-21504
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-21504
The code in UEK6 U3 was missing an appropiate file descriptor count to be missing. This resulted in a use count error that allowed a file descriptor to a socket to be closed and freed while it was still in use by another portion of the kernel. An attack with local access can operate on the socket, and cause a denial of service. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 5.5 (Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H). • https://github.com/oracle/linux-uek/commit/49c68f5f892d8c2be00e0a89ff2a035422c03b59 • CWE-416: Use After Free •
CVE-2022-21499 – kernel: possible to use the debugger to write zero into a location of choice
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-21499
KGDB and KDB allow read and write access to kernel memory, and thus should be restricted during lockdown. An attacker with access to a serial port could trigger the debugger so it is important that the debugger respect the lockdown mode when/if it is triggered. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 6.7 (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H). KGDB y KDB permiten el acceso de lectura y escritura a la memoria del kernel, y por lo tanto deben ser restringidos durante el bloqueo. • http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/168191/Kernel-Live-Patch-Security-Notice-LSN-0089-1.html https://git.kernel.org/linus/eadb2f47a3ced5c64b23b90fd2a3463f63726066 https://www.debian.org/security/2022/dsa-5161 https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2022-21499 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2084183 • CWE-787: Out-of-bounds Write •
CVE-2022-21476 – OpenJDK: Defective secure validation in Apache Santuario (Libraries, 8278008)
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-21476
Vulnerability in the Oracle Java SE, Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition product of Oracle Java SE (component: Libraries). Supported versions that are affected are Oracle Java SE: 7u331, 8u321, 11.0.14, 17.0.2, 18; Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition: 20.3.5, 21.3.1 and 22.0.0.2. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise Oracle Java SE, Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle Java SE, Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition accessible data. Note: This vulnerability applies to Java deployments, typically in clients running sandboxed Java Web Start applications or sandboxed Java applets, that load and run untrusted code (e.g., code that comes from the internet) and rely on the Java sandbox for security. • https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2022/05/msg00017.html https://security.netapp.com/advisory/ntap-20220429-0006 https://www.debian.org/security/2022/dsa-5128 https://www.debian.org/security/2022/dsa-5131 https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cpuapr2022.html https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2022-21476 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2075842 • CWE-179: Incorrect Behavior Order: Early Validation •
CVE-2021-3752 – kernel: possible use-after-free in bluetooth module
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2021-3752
A use-after-free flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s Bluetooth subsystem in the way user calls connect to the socket and disconnect simultaneously due to a race condition. This flaw allows a user to crash the system or escalate their privileges. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality, integrity, as well as system availability. • https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1999544 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2022/03/msg00011.html https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2022/03/msg00012.html https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/20211115165435.133245729%40linuxfoundation.org https://security.netapp.com/advisory/ntap-20220318-0009 https://www.debian.org/security/2022/dsa-5096 https://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2021/09/15/4 https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cpujul2022.html https:/ • CWE-362: Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization ('Race Condition') CWE-416: Use After Free •
