28 Feb 2024 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/siw: Fix a use after free in siw_alloc_mr Our code analyzer reported a UAF. In siw_alloc_mr(), it calls siw_mr_add_mem(mr,..). In the implementation of siw_mr_add_mem(), mem is assigned to mr->mem and then mem is freed via kfree(mem) if xa_alloc_cyclic() failed. Here, mr->mem still point to a freed object. After, the execution continue up to the err_out branch of siw_alloc_mr, and the freed mr->mem is used in siw_mr_drop_mem(mr). • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2251334dcac9eb337575d8767e2a6a7e81848f7f •

28 Feb 2024 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: Only allow init netns to set default tcp cong to a restricted algo tcp_set_default_congestion_control() is netns-safe in that it writes to &net->ipv4.tcp_congestion_control, but it also sets ca->flags |= TCP_CONG_NON_RESTRICTED which is not namespaced. This has the unintended side-effect of changing the global net.ipv4.tcp_allowed_congestion_control sysctl, despite the fact that it is read-only: 97684f0970f6 ("net: Make tcp_allowed_con... • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/6670e152447732ba90626f36dfc015a13fbf150e • CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption •

28 Feb 2024 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ARM: 9064/1: hw_breakpoint: Do not directly check the event's overflow_handler hook The commit 1879445dfa7b ("perf/core: Set event's default ::overflow_handler()") set a default event->overflow_handler in perf_event_alloc(), and replace the check event->overflow_handler with is_default_overflow_handler(), but one is missing. Currently, the bp->overflow_handler can not be NULL. As a result, enable_single_step() is always not invoked. Comment... • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/1879445dfa7bbd6fe21b09c5cc72f4934798afed •

Let us add a check for pci_epc_feature pointer in pci_epf_test_bind before we access it to avoid any such NULL pointer dereference and return -ENOTSUPP in case pci_epc_feature is not found. 28 Feb 2024 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: f2fs: fix to avoid touching checkpointed data in get_victim() In CP disabling mode, there are two issues when using LFS or SSR | AT_SSR mode to select victim: 1. LFS is set to find source section during GC, the victim should have no checkpointed data, since after GC, section could not be set free for reuse. Previously, we only check valid chpt blocks in current segment rather than section, fix it. 2. 28 Feb 2024 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ethernet:enic: Fix a use after free bug in enic_hard_start_xmit In enic_hard_start_xmit, it calls enic_queue_wq_skb(). Inside enic_queue_wq_skb, if some error happens, the skb will be freed by dev_kfree_skb(skb). But the freed skb is still used in skb_tx_timestamp(skb). My patch makes enic_queue_wq_skb() return error and goto spin_unlock() incase of error. The solution is provided by Govind. 28 Feb 2024 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched: Fix out-of-bound access in uclamp Util-clamp places tasks in different buckets based on their clamp values for performance reasons. However, the size of buckets is currently computed using a rounding division, which can lead to an off-by-one error in some configurations. For instance, with 20 buckets, the bucket size will be 1024/20=51. A task with a clamp of 1024 will be mapped to bucket id 1024/51=20.
