In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cgroup: Add missing cpus_read_lock() to cgroup_attach_task_all() syzbot is hitting percpu_rwsem_assert_held(&cpu_hotplug_lock) warning at cpuset_attach() [1], for commit 4f7e7236435ca0ab ("cgroup: Fix threadgroup_rwsem <-> cpus_read_lock() deadlock") missed that cpuset_attach() is also called from cgroup_attach_task_all(). Add cpus_read_lock() like what cgroup_procs_write_start() does. En el kernel de Linux, se resolvió la siguiente vulnerabilidad: cgroup: agregue cpus_read_lock() faltante a cgroup_attach_task_all() syzbot está presionando la advertencia percpu_rwsem_assert_held(&cpu_hotplug_lock) en cpuset_attach() [1], para el commit 4f7e7236435ca0ab ("cgroup: Fix threadgroup_rwsem <- > cpus_read_lock() deadlock") se perdió que cpuset_attach() también se llama desde cgroup_attach_task_all(). In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: peci: cpu: Fix use-after-free in adev_release() When auxiliary_device_add() returns an error, auxiliary_device_uninit() is called, which causes refcount for device to be decremented and .release callback will be triggered. Because adev_release() re-calls auxiliary_device_uninit(), it will cause use-after-free: [ 1269.455172] WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 14267 at lib/refcount.c:28 refcount_warn_saturate+0x110/0x15 [ 1269.464007] refcount_t: underflow; use-after-free. En el kernel de Linux, se ha resuelto la siguiente vulnerabilidad: peci: cpu: corrige use-after-free en adev_release() Cuando auxiliar_device_add() devuelve un error, se llama a auxiliar_device_uninit(), lo que hace que se disminuya el recuento del dispositivo y . In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: mcast: remove one synchronize_net() barrier in ipv6_mc_down() As discussed in the past (commit 2d3916f31891 ("ipv6: fix skb drops in igmp6_event_query() and igmp6_event_report()")) I think the synchronize_net() call in ipv6_mc_down() is not needed. Under load, synchronize_net() can last between 200 usec and 5 ms. KASAN seems to agree as well. En el kernel de Linux, se resolvió la siguiente vulnerabilidad: ipv6: mcast: elimina una barrera de sincronización_net() en ipv6_mc_down() Como se discutió en el pasado (commit 2d3916f31891 ("ipv6: corrige caídas de skb en igmp6_event_query() e igmp6_event_report()" )) Creo que la llamada sincronizar_net() en ipv6_mc_down() no es necesaria. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pstore: inode: Only d_invalidate() is needed Unloading a modular pstore backend with records in pstorefs would trigger the dput() double-drop warning: WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 2569 at fs/dcache.c:762 dput.part.0+0x3f3/0x410 Using the combo of d_drop()/dput() (as mentioned in Documentation/filesystems/vfs.rst) isn't the right approach here, and leads to the reference counting problem seen above. Use d_invalidate() and update the code to not bother checking for error codes that can never happen. --- En el kernel de Linux, se ha resuelto la siguiente vulnerabilidad: pstore: inode: solo se necesita d_invalidate().
