A vulnerability in the Cisco IOS Software and Cisco IOS XE Software function that restores encapsulated option 82 information in DHCP Version 4 (DHCPv4) packets could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause an affected device to reload, resulting in a Relay Reply denial of service (DoS) condition. The vulnerability exists because the affected software performs incomplete input validation of encapsulated option 82 information that it receives in DHCPOFFER messages from DHCPv4 servers. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted DHCPv4 packet to an affected device, which the device would then forward to a DHCPv4 server. When the affected software processes the option 82 information that is encapsulated in the response from the server, an error could occur. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the affected device to reload, resulting in a DoS condition. • http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/103545 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1040591 https://ics-cert.us-cert.gov/advisories/ICSA-18-107-04 https://ics-cert.us-cert.gov/advisories/ICSA-18-107-05 https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-20180328-dhcpr2 https://www.tenable.com/security/research/tra-2018-06 • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation •

A Path Traversal vulnerability in the diagnostic shell for Cisco IOS and IOS XE Software could allow an authenticated, local attacker to use certain diagnostic shell commands that can overwrite system files. These system files may be sensitive and should not be able to be overwritten by a user of the diagnostic shell. The vulnerability is due to lack of proper input validation for certain diagnostic shell commands. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by authenticating to the device, entering the diagnostic shell, and providing crafted user input to commands at the local diagnostic shell CLI. Successful exploitation could allow the attacker to overwrite system files that should be restricted. • http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/102967 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1040346 https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-20180207-ios • CWE-22: Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') •

A vulnerability in motherboard console ports of line cards for Cisco ASR 1000 Series Aggregation Services Routers and Cisco cBR-8 Converged Broadband Routers could allow an unauthenticated, physical attacker to access an affected device's operating system. The vulnerability exists because an engineering console port is available on the motherboard of the affected line cards. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by physically connecting to the console port on the line card. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to gain full access to the affected device's operating system. This vulnerability affects only Cisco ASR 1000 Series Routers that have removable line cards and Cisco cBR-8 Converged Broadband Routers, if they are running certain Cisco IOS XE 3.16 through 16.5 releases. • http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/101042 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1039454 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1039455 https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-20170927-cc • CWE-264: Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls CWE-798: Use of Hard-coded Credentials •

The Neighbor Discovery (ND) protocol implementation in the IPv6 stack in Cisco IOS XE 2.1 through 3.17S, IOS XR 2.0.0 through 5.3.2, and NX-OS allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (packet-processing outage) via crafted ND messages, aka Bug ID CSCuz66542, as exploited in the wild in May 2016. • http://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-20160525-ipv6 http://www.huawei.com/en/psirt/security-advisories/huawei-sa-20160824-01-ipv6-en http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/90872 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1035962 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1035963 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1035964 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1035965 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1036651 • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation •
