CVE-2022-42310
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-42310
Xenstore: Guests can create orphaned Xenstore nodes By creating multiple nodes inside a transaction resulting in an error, a malicious guest can create orphaned nodes in the Xenstore data base, as the cleanup after the error will not remove all nodes already created. When the transaction is committed after this situation, nodes without a valid parent can be made permanent in the data base. • http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2022/11/01/5 http://xenbits.xen.org/xsa/advisory-415.html https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/YTMITQBGC23MSDHUCAPCVGLMVXIBXQTQ https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/YZVXG7OOOXCX6VIPEMLFDPIPUTFAYWPE https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/ZLI2NPNEH7CNJO3VZGQNOI4M4EWLNKPZ https://security.gentoo.org/glsa/202402-07 https:// • CWE-459: Incomplete Cleanup •
CVE-2022-42316

Xenstore: guests can let run xenstored out of memory T[his CNA information record relates to multiple CVEs; the text explains which aspects/vulnerabilities correspond to which CVE.] Malicious guests can cause xenstored to allocate vast amounts of memory, eventually resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) of xenstored. There are multiple ways how guests can cause large memory allocations in xenstored: - - by issuing new requests to xenstored without reading the responses, causing the responses to be buffered in memory - - by causing large number of watch events to be generated via setting up multiple xenstore watches and then e.g. deleting many xenstore nodes below the watched path - - by creating as many nodes as allowed with the maximum allowed size and path length in as many transactions as possible - - by accessing many nodes inside a transaction Xenstore: los invitados pueden dejar ejecutar xenstored sin memoria. CVE-2022-42326
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-42326
Xenstore: Guests can create arbitrary number of nodes via transactions T[his CNA information record relates to multiple CVEs; the text explains which aspects/vulnerabilities correspond to which CVE.] In case a node has been created in a transaction and it is later deleted in the same transaction, the transaction will be terminated with an error. As this error is encountered only when handling the deleted node at transaction finalization, the transaction will have been performed partially and without updating the accounting information. This will enable a malicious guest to create arbitrary number of nodes. CVE-2022-39369 – Service Hostname Discovery Exploitation in phpCAS
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-39369
phpCAS is an authentication library that allows PHP applications to easily authenticate users via a Central Authentication Service (CAS) server. The phpCAS library uses HTTP headers to determine the service URL used to validate tickets. This allows an attacker to control the host header and use a valid ticket granted for any authorized service in the same SSO realm (CAS server) to authenticate to the service protected by phpCAS. Depending on the settings of the CAS server service registry in worst case this may be any other service URL (if the allowed URLs are configured to "^(https)://.*") or may be strictly limited to known and authorized services in the same SSO federation if proper URL service validation is applied. This vulnerability may allow an attacker to gain access to a victim's account on a vulnerable CASified service without victim's knowledge, when the victim visits attacker's website while being logged in to the same CAS server. phpCAS 1.6.0 is a major version upgrade that starts enforcing service URL discovery validation, because there is unfortunately no 100% safe default config to use in PHP. • https://github.com/apereo/phpCAS/security/advisories/GHSA-8q72-6qq8-xv64 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2023/07/msg00007.html https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/2XL7SMW6ESSP2Y6HHRYWW2MMCZSI4LBZ https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/RUA2JM6YT3ZXSZLBJVRA32AXYM3GJMO3 https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/VJZGTWJ5ZXUUT47EHARNOUUNTH6SYDSE • CWE-99: Improper Control of Resource Identifiers ('Resource Injection') CWE-1287: Improper Validation of Specified Type of Input •
