CVE-2019-1722 – Cisco Expressway Series and Cisco TelePresence Video Communication Server Cross-Site Request Forgery Vulnerability
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-1722
A vulnerability in the FindMe feature of Cisco Expressway Series and Cisco TelePresence Video Communication Server (VCS) could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to conduct a cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attack and perform arbitrary actions on an affected system. The vulnerability is due to insufficient CSRF protections for the web-based management interface of the affected system. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by persuading a user of the interface to follow a maliciously crafted link. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to perform arbitrary actions on an affected system with the privileges of the user. The arbitrary actions include adding an attacker-controlled device and redirecting calls intended for a specific user. • http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/108006 https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-20190417-ex-vcs-xsrf • CWE-352: Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) •
CVE-2018-5390 – Linux kernel versions 4.9+ can be forced to make very expensive calls to tcp_collapse_ofo_queue() and tcp_prune_ofo_queue() for every incoming packet which can lead to a denial of service
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-5390
Linux kernel versions 4.9+ can be forced to make very expensive calls to tcp_collapse_ofo_queue() and tcp_prune_ofo_queue() for every incoming packet which can lead to a denial of service. A flaw named SegmentSmack was found in the way the Linux kernel handled specially crafted TCP packets. A remote attacker could use this flaw to trigger time and calculation expensive calls to tcp_collapse_ofo_queue() and tcp_prune_ofo_queue() functions by sending specially modified packets within ongoing TCP sessions which could lead to a CPU saturation and hence a denial of service on the system. Maintaining the denial of service condition requires continuous two-way TCP sessions to a reachable open port, thus the attacks cannot be performed using spoofed IP addresses. • http://www.arubanetworks.com/assets/alert/ARUBA-PSA-2018-004.txt http://www.huawei.com/en/psirt/security-advisories/huawei-sa-20181031-02-linux-en http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/06/28/2 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/07/06/3 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/07/06/4 http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/104976 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1041424 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1041434 https://access.redhat.co • CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption •
CVE-2017-12287
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2017-12287
A vulnerability in the cluster database (CDB) management component of Cisco Expressway Series Software and Cisco TelePresence Video Communication Server (VCS) Software could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to cause the CDB process on an affected system to restart unexpectedly, resulting in a temporary denial of service (DoS) condition. The vulnerability is due to incomplete input validation of URL requests by the REST API of the affected software. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted URL to the REST API of the affected software on an affected system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the CDB process on the affected system to restart unexpectedly, resulting in a temporary DoS condition. CVE-2017-3790
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2017-3790
A vulnerability in the received packet parser of Cisco Expressway Series and Cisco TelePresence Video Communication Server (VCS) software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a reload of the affected system, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition. The vulnerability is due to insufficient size validation of user-supplied data. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted H.224 data in Real-Time Transport Protocol (RTP) packets in an H.323 call. An exploit could allow the attacker to overflow a buffer in a cache that belongs to the received packet parser, which will result in a crash of the application, resulting in a DoS condition. All versions of Cisco Expressway Series Software and Cisco TelePresence VCS Software prior to version X8.8.2 are vulnerable. • http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/95786 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1037697 https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-20170125-expressway • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation CWE-119: Improper Restriction of Operations within the Bounds of a Memory Buffer CWE-399: Resource Management Errors •
CVE-2016-9207
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2016-9207
A vulnerability in the HTTP traffic server component of Cisco Expressway could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to initiate TCP connections to arbitrary hosts. This does not allow for full traffic proxy through the Expressway. Affected Products: This vulnerability affects Cisco Expressway Series Software and Cisco TelePresence Video Communication Server (VCS). More Information: CSCvc10834. Known Affected Releases: X8.7.2 X8.8.3. • http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/94797 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1037422 https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-20161207-expressway • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation CWE-254: 7PK - Security Features •
