28 Oct 2025 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Explicitly check accesses to bpf_sock_addr Syzkaller found a kernel warning on the following sock_addr program: 0: r0 = 0 1: r2 = *(u32 *)(r1 +60) 2: exit which triggers: verifier bug: error during ctx access conversion (0) This is happening because offset 60 in bpf_sock_addr corresponds to an implicit padding of 4 bytes, right after msg_src_ip4. Access to this padding isn't rejected in sock_addr_is_valid_access and it thus later fails... • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/1cedee13d25ab118d325f95588c1a084e9317229 •

28 Oct 2025 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smc: Fix use-after-free in __pnet_find_base_ndev(). syzbot reported use-after-free of net_device in __pnet_find_base_ndev(), which was called during connect(). [0] smc_pnet_find_ism_resource() fetches sk_dst_get(sk)->dev and passes down to pnet_find_base_ndev(), where RTNL is held. Then, UAF happened at __pnet_find_base_ndev() when the dev is first used. This means dev had already been freed before acquiring RTNL in pnet_find_base_ndev(). W... • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/0afff91c6f5ecef27715ea71e34dc2baacba1060 •

28 Oct 2025 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: dlink: handle copy_thresh allocation failure The driver did not handle failure of `netdev_alloc_skb_ip_align()`. If the allocation failed, dereferencing `skb->protocol` could lead to a NULL pointer dereference. This patch tries to allocate `skb`. If the allocation fails, it falls back to the normal path. 28 Oct 2025 — In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Squashfs: fix uninit-value in squashfs_get_parent Syzkaller reports a "KMSAN: uninit-value in squashfs_get_parent" bug. This is caused by open_by_handle_at() being called with a file handle containing an invalid parent inode number. In particular the inode number is that of a symbolic link, rather than a directory. Squashfs_get_parent() gets called with that symbolic link inode, and accesses the parent member field. unsigned int parent_ino ... • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/122601408d20c77704268f1dea9f9ce4abf997c2 •
