CVE-2020-5258 – Prototype pollution in dojo
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2020-5258
In affected versions of dojo (NPM package), the deepCopy method is vulnerable to Prototype Pollution. Prototype Pollution refers to the ability to inject properties into existing JavaScript language construct prototypes, such as objects. An attacker manipulates these attributes to overwrite, or pollute, a JavaScript application object prototype of the base object by injecting other values. • https://github.com/ossf-cve-benchmark/CVE-2020-5258 https://github.com/dojo/dojo/commit/20a00afb68f5587946dc76fbeaa68c39bda2171d https://github.com/dojo/dojo/security/advisories/GHSA-jxfh-8wgv-vfr2 https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r3638722360d7ae95f874280518b8d987d799a76df7a9cd78eac33a1b%40%3Cusers.qpid.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r665fcc152bd0fec9f71511a6c2435ff24d3a71386b01b1a6df326fd3%40%3Cusers.qpid.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/rf481b3f25f05c52ba4e24991a941c1a6e88d281c6c9360a806554d00%40%3Cusers.qpid.apache.o • CWE-94: Improper Control of Generation of Code ('Code Injection') CWE-1321: Improperly Controlled Modification of Object Prototype Attributes ('Prototype Pollution') •
CVE-2020-7226 – cryptacular: excessive memory allocation during a decode operation
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2020-7226
CiphertextHeader.java in Cryptacular 1.2.3, as used in Apereo CAS and other products, allows attackers to trigger excessive memory allocation during a decode operation, because the nonce array length associated with "new byte" may depend on untrusted input within the header of encoded data. • https://github.com/apereo/cas/commit/8810f2b6c71d73341d4dde6b09a18eb46cfd6d45 https://github.com/apereo/cas/commit/93b1c3e9d90e36a19d0fa0f6efb863c6f0235e75 https://github.com/apereo/cas/commit/a042808d6adbbf44753d52c55cac5f533e24101f https://github.com/apereo/cas/pull/4685 https://github.com/vt-middleware/cryptacular/blob/fafccd07ab1214e3588a35afe3c361519129605f/src/main/java/org/cryptacular/CiphertextHeader.java#L153 https://github.com/vt-middleware/cryptacular/blob/master/src/main/java/org/cryptacular/CiphertextHeader.java#L153 https://github • CWE-770: Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling •
CVE-2019-12415 – poi: a specially crafted Microsoft Excel document allows attacker to read files from the local filesystem
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-12415
In Apache POI up to 4.1.0, when using the tool XSSFExportToXml to convert user-provided Microsoft Excel documents, a specially crafted document can allow an attacker to read files from the local filesystem or from internal network resources via XML External Entity (XXE) Processing. • https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/13a54b6a03369cfb418a699180ffb83bd727320b6ddfec198b9b728e%40%3Cannounce.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/2ac0327748de0c2b3c1c012481b79936797c711724e0b7da83cf564c%40%3Cuser.tika.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/895164e03a3c327449069e2fd6ced0367561878b3ae6a8ec740c2007%40%3Cuser.tika.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/d88b8823867033514d7ec05d66f88c70dc207604d3dcbd44fd88464c%40%3Cuser.tika.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r204ba2a9ea750f38d789d2bb429cc0925ad6133deea7cbc3001d96b5%40%3Csolr-user • CWE-611: Improper Restriction of XML External Entity Reference •
CVE-2019-17531 – jackson-databind: Serialization gadgets in org.apache.log4j.receivers.db.*
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-17531
A Polymorphic Typing issue was discovered in FasterXML jackson-databind 2.0.0 through 2.9.10. When Default Typing is enabled (either globally or for a specific property) for an externally exposed JSON endpoint and the service has the apache-log4j-extra (version 1.2.x) jar in the classpath, and an attacker can provide a JNDI service to access, it is possible to make the service execute a malicious payload. • https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:4192 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2020:0159 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2020:0160 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2020:0161 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2020:0164 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2020:0445 https://github.com/FasterXML/jackson-databind/issues/2498 https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/b3c90d38f99db546de60fea65f99a924d540fae2285f014b79606ca5%40%3Ccommits.pulsar.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/ • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation CWE-502: Deserialization of Untrusted Data •
CVE-2019-16943 – jackson-databind: Serialization gadgets in com.p6spy.engine.spy.P6DataSource
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-16943
A Polymorphic Typing issue was discovered in FasterXML jackson-databind 2.0.0 through 2.9.10. When Default Typing is enabled (either globally or for a specific property) for an externally exposed JSON endpoint and the service has the p6spy (3.8.6) jar in the classpath, and an attacker can find an RMI service endpoint to access, it is possible to make the service execute a malicious payload. This issue exists because of com.p6spy.engine.spy.P6DataSource mishandling. • https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2020:0159 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2020:0160 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2020:0161 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2020:0164 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2020:0445 https://github.com/FasterXML/jackson-databind/issues/2478 https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/519eb0fd45642dcecd9ff74cb3e71c20a4753f7d82e2f07864b5108f%40%3Cdev.drill.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/5ec8d8d485c2c8ac55ea425f4cd96596ef37312532712639712ebcdd%40%3Ccommit • CWE-200: Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor CWE-502: Deserialization of Untrusted Data •
