The Samsung Exynos Modem 5123, Exynos Modem 5300, Exynos 980, Exynos 1080, and Exynos Auto T512 baseband modem chipsets do not properly check format types specified by the Session Description Protocol (SDP) module, which can lead to a denial of service. Shannon Baseband suffers from a memory corruption vulnerability that occurs when the baseband modem processes SDP when setting up a call. SDP supports an attribute accept-type that allows multiple format types to be specified. The baseband software allocates a fixed-size buffer for these types, but does not check that the number of format types specified by the SDP is within this bound.
