The MySQL token driver in OpenStack Identity (Keystone) 2014.1.x before 2014.1.2.1 and Juno before Juno-3 stores timestamps with the incorrect precision, which causes the expiration comparison for tokens to fail and allows remote authenticated users to retain access via an expired token. It was found that the MySQL token driver did not correctly store token expiration times, which prevented manual token revocation. Only OpenStack Identity setups configured to make use of revocation events were affected. • http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2014-1121.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2014-1122.html http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2014/08/15/6 http://www.ubuntu.com/usn/USN-2324-1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/keystone/+bug/1347961 https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2014-5251 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1127259 • CWE-255: Credentials Management Errors CWE-613: Insufficient Session Expiration •

Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Host Aggregates interface in OpenStack Dashboard (Horizon) before 2013.2.4, 2014.1 before 2014.1.2, and Juno before Juno-3 allows remote administrators to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via a new host aggregate name. A persistent cross-site scripting (XSS) flaw was found in the horizon host aggregate interface. A user with sufficient privileges to add a host aggregate could potentially use this flaw to capture the credentials of another user. • http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-updates/2015-01/msg00040.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2014-1335.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2014-1336.html http://seclists.org/oss-sec/2014/q3/413 http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/69291 https://bugs.launchpad.net/horizon/+bug/1349491 https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/vulnerabilities/95378 https://review.openstack.org/#/c/115310 https://review.openstack.org/#/c/115311 https://review.openstack.org/# • CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') •

OpenStack Image Registry and Delivery Service (Glance) before 2013.2.4, 2014.x before 2014.1.3, and Juno before Juno-3, when using the V2 API, does not properly enforce the image_size_cap configuration option, which allows remote authenticated users to cause a denial of service (disk consumption) by uploading a large image. It was discovered that the image_size_cap configuration option in glance was not honored. An authenticated user could use this flaw to upload an image to glance and consume all available storage space, resulting in a denial of service. • http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2014-1337.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2014-1338.html http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2014-1685.html http://secunia.com/advisories/60743 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2014/08/21/6 http://www.ubuntu.com/usn/USN-2322-1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/glance/+bug/1315321 https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2014-5356 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1131770 • CWE-264: Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption •

The notifier middleware in OpenStack PyCADF 0.5.0 and earlier, Telemetry (Ceilometer) 2013.2 before 2013.2.4 and 2014.x before 2014.1.2, Neutron 2014.x before 2014.1.2 and Juno before Juno-2, and Oslo allows remote authenticated users to obtain X_AUTH_TOKEN values by reading the message queue (v2/meters/http.request). It was found that authentication tokens were not properly sanitized from the message queue by the notifier middleware. An attacker with read access to the message queue could possibly use this flaw to intercept an authentication token and gain elevated privileges. Note that all services using the notifier middleware configured after the auth_token middleware pipeline were affected. • http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2014-1050.html http://secunia.com/advisories/60643 http://secunia.com/advisories/60736 http://secunia.com/advisories/60766 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2014/06/23/8 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2014/06/24/6 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2014/06/25/6 http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/68149 http://www.ubuntu.com/usn/USN-2311-1 https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2014-46 • CWE-200: Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor CWE-201: Insertion of Sensitive Information Into Sent Data •

OpenStack Identity (Keystone) before 2013.2.4, 2014.x before 2014.1.2, and Juno before Juno-2 allows remote authenticated trustees to gain access to an unauthorized project for which the trustor has certain roles via the project ID in a V2 API trust token request. A flaw was found in the way keystone handled trusts. A trustee could use an out-of-scope project ID to gain unauthorized access to a project if the trustor had the required roles for that requested project. • http://lists.openstack.org/pipermail/openstack-announce/2014-July/000248.html http://secunia.com/advisories/59426 https://bugs.launchpad.net/keystone/+bug/1331912 https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2014-3520 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1112668 • CWE-863: Incorrect Authorization •
