CVE-2018-14290 – Foxit Reader PDF Parsing Heap-based Buffer Overflow Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-14290
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Foxit Reader 9.0.1.5096. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the parsing of PDF documents. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a heap-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code under the context of the current process. • https://www.foxitsoftware.com/support/security-bulletins.php https://zerodayinitiative.com/advisories/ZDI-18-750 • CWE-119: Improper Restriction of Operations within the Bounds of a Memory Buffer CWE-122: Heap-based Buffer Overflow •
CVE-2018-3853
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-3853
An exploitable use-after-free vulnerability exists in the JavaScript engine of Foxit Software Foxit PDF Reader version 9.0.1.1049. A specially crafted PDF document can trigger a previously freed object in memory to be reused resulting in arbitrary code execution. An attacker needs to trick the user to open the malicious file to trigger this vulnerability. If the browser plugin extension is enabled, visiting a malicious site can also trigger the vulnerability. Existe una vulnerabilidad explotable de uso de memoria previamente liberada en el motor JavaScript de Foxit PDF Reader, de Foxit Software, en su versión 9.0.1.1049. • http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/103942 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1040733 https://www.talosintelligence.com/vulnerability_reports/TALOS-2018-0536 • CWE-416: Use After Free •
CVE-2018-10478 – Foxit Reader U3D Texture Coord Dimensions Parsing Information Disclosure Vulnerability
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-10478
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on vulnerable installations of Foxit Reader 9.0.0.29935. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the parsing of U3D Texture Coord Dimensions objects. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a read past the end of an allocated object. An attacker can leverage this in conjunction with other vulnerabilities to execute code in the context of the current process. • https://www.foxitsoftware.com/support/security-bulletins.php https://zerodayinitiative.com/advisories/ZDI-18-388 • CWE-125: Out-of-bounds Read •
