In Eclipse Jetty, versions 9.2.x and older, 9.3.x (all configurations), and 9.4.x (non-default configuration with RFC2616 compliance enabled), transfer-encoding chunks are handled poorly. The chunk length parsing was vulnerable to an integer overflow. Thus a large chunk size could be interpreted as a smaller chunk size and content sent as chunk body could be interpreted as a pipelined request. If Jetty was deployed behind an intermediary that imposed some authorization and that intermediary allowed arbitrarily large chunks to be passed on unchanged, then this flaw could be used to bypass the authorization imposed by the intermediary as the fake pipelined request would not be interpreted by the intermediary as a request. • http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1041194 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:0910 https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=535668 https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/053d9ce4d579b02203db18545fee5e33f35f2932885459b74d1e4272%40%3Cissues.activemq.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/708d94141126eac03011144a971a6411fcac16d9c248d1d535a39451%40%3Csolr-user.lucene.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/9317fd092b257a0815434b116a8af8daea6e920b6673f4fd5583d5fe%40%3Ccommits.druid.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache. • CWE-190: Integer Overflow or Wraparound CWE-444: Inconsistent Interpretation of HTTP Requests ('HTTP Request/Response Smuggling') •

In Eclipse Jetty versions 9.4.0 through 9.4.8, when using the optional Jetty provided FileSessionDataStore for persistent storage of HttpSession details, it is possible for a malicious user to access/hijack other HttpSessions and even delete unmatched HttpSessions present in the FileSystem's storage for the FileSessionDataStore. • http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1041194 https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=536018 https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r1b103833cb5bc8466e24ff0ecc5e75b45a705334ab6a444e64e840a0%40%3Cissues.bookkeeper.apache.org%3E https://security.netapp.com/advisory/ntap-20181014-0001 https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cpuoct2020.html https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/security-advisory/cpuoct2019-5072832.html • CWE-6: J2EE Misconfiguration: Insufficient Session-ID Length CWE-384: Session Fixation •

Vulnerability in the Java SE component of Oracle Java SE (subcomponent: Libraries). The supported version that is affected is Java SE: 10. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise Java SE. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and while the vulnerability is in Java SE, attacks may significantly impact additional products. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in takeover of Java SE. • http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/security-advisory/cpuapr2018-3678067.html http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/103782 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1040697 https://help.ecostruxureit.com/display/public/UADCE725/Security+fixes+in+StruxureWare+Data+Center+Expert+v7.6.0 https://security.netapp.com/advisory/ntap-20180419-0001 https://usn.ubuntu.com/3747-1 •

FasterXML jackson-databind through 2.8.11 and 2.9.x through 2.9.3 allows unauthenticated remote code execution because of an incomplete fix for the CVE-2017-7525 and CVE-2017-17485 deserialization flaws. This is exploitable via two different gadgets that bypass a blacklist. A deserialization flaw was discovered in the jackson-databind that could allow an unauthenticated user to perform code execution by sending the maliciously crafted input to the readValue method of the ObjectMapper. • https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:0478 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:0479 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:0480 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:0481 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:1525 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:2858 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:3149 https://github.com/FasterXML/jackson-databind/issues/1899 https://security.netapp.com/advisory/ntap-20180423-0002 https://support.hpe.com/h • CWE-184: Incomplete List of Disallowed Inputs CWE-502: Deserialization of Untrusted Data •
