CVE-2018-14642 – undertow: Infoleak in some circumstances where Undertow can serve data from a random buffer
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-14642
An information leak vulnerability was found in Undertow. If all headers are not written out in the first write() call then the code that handles flushing the buffer will always write out the full contents of the writevBuffer buffer, which may contain data from previous requests. • https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:0362 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:0364 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:0365 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:0380 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:1106 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:1107 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:1108 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:1140 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=CVE-2018-14642 https://access.redhat.com • CWE-200: Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor •
CVE-2018-14618 – curl: NTLM password overflow via integer overflow
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-14618
curl before version 7.61.1 is vulnerable to a buffer overrun in the NTLM authentication code. The internal function Curl_ntlm_core_mk_nt_hash multiplies the length of the password by two (SUM) to figure out how large temporary storage area to allocate from the heap. The length value is then subsequently used to iterate over the password and generate output into the allocated storage buffer. On systems with a 32 bit size_t, the math to calculate SUM triggers an integer overflow when the password length exceeds 2GB (2^31 bytes). This integer overflow usually causes a very small buffer to actually get allocated instead of the intended very huge one, making the use of that buffer end up in a heap buffer overflow. • http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1041605 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:3558 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:1880 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=CVE-2018-14618 https://cert-portal.siemens.com/productcert/pdf/ssa-436177.pdf https://curl.haxx.se/docs/CVE-2018-14618.html https://psirt.global.sonicwall.com/vuln-detail/SNWLID-2018-0014 https://security.gentoo.org/glsa/201903-03 https://usn.ubuntu.com/3765-1 https://usn.ubuntu.com/ • CWE-122: Heap-based Buffer Overflow CWE-131: Incorrect Calculation of Buffer Size CWE-190: Integer Overflow or Wraparound •
CVE-2018-10930 – glusterfs: Files can be renamed outside volume
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-10930
A flaw was found in RPC request using gfs3_rename_req in glusterfs server. An authenticated attacker could use this flaw to write to a destination outside the gluster volume. Se ha detectado un error en las peticiones RPC que emplean gfs3_rename_req en el servidor glusterfs. Un atacante autenticado podría emplear este error para escribir a un destino fuera del volumen gluster. • http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2020-01/msg00035.html https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2607 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2608 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:3470 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=CVE-2018-10930 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2018/09/msg00021.html https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2021/11/msg00000.html https://review.gluster.org/#/c/glusterfs/+/21068 https:/ • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation •
CVE-2018-10926 – glusterfs: Device files can be created in arbitrary locations
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-10926
A flaw was found in RPC request using gfs3_mknod_req supported by glusterfs server. An authenticated attacker could use this flaw to write files to an arbitrary location via path traversal and execute arbitrary code on a glusterfs server node. • http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2020-01/msg00035.html https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2607 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2608 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:3470 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=CVE-2018-10926 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2018/09/msg00021.html https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2021/11/msg00000.html https://security.gentoo.org/glsa/201904-06 https://access.redhat.c • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation CWE-22: Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') •
CVE-2018-10928 – glusterfs: Improper resolution of symlinks allows for privilege escalation
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-10928
A flaw was found in RPC request using gfs3_symlink_req in glusterfs server which allows symlink destinations to point to file paths outside of the gluster volume. An authenticated attacker could use this flaw to create arbitrary symlinks pointing anywhere on the server and execute arbitrary code on glusterfs server nodes. • http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2020-01/msg00035.html https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2607 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:2608 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:3470 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=CVE-2018-10928 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2018/09/msg00021.html https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2021/11/msg00000.html https://security.gentoo.org/glsa/201904-06 https://access.redhat.c • CWE-59: Improper Link Resolution Before File Access ('Link Following') •
