A memory leak flaw was found in the Linux kernel's ccp_run_aes_gcm_cmd() function that allows an attacker to cause a denial of service. The vulnerability is similar to the older CVE-2019-18808. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability. • https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2021-3764 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1997467 https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/505d9dcb0f7ddf9d075e729523a33d38642ae680 https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/CVE-2021-3764 • CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption CWE-401: Missing Release of Memory after Effective Lifetime •

A vulnerability was found in the fs/inode.c:inode_init_owner() function logic of the LInux kernel that allows local users to create files for the XFS file-system with an unintended group ownership and with group execution and SGID permission bits set, in a scenario where a directory is SGID and belongs to a certain group and is writable by a user who is not a member of this group. This can lead to excessive permissions granted in case when they should not. This vulnerability is similar to the previous CVE-2018-13405 and adds the missed fix for the XFS. • https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2021-4037 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2004810 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2027239 https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=01ea173e103e https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=0fa3ecd87848 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2022/11/msg00001.html https://www.debian.org/security/2022/dsa-5257 • CWE-284: Improper Access Control •

A vulnerability was found in the pfkey_register function in net/key/af_key.c in the Linux kernel. This flaw allows a local, unprivileged user to gain access to kernel memory, leading to a system crash or a leak of internal kernel information. A use-after-free vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel in drivers/net/hamradio. This flaw allows a local attacker with a user privilege to cause a denial of service (DOS) when the mkiss or sixpack device is detached and reclaim resources early.
