In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: PM / devfreq: Fix buffer overflow in trans_stat_show Fix buffer overflow in trans_stat_show(). Convert simple snprintf to the more secure scnprintf with size of PAGE_SIZE. Add condition checking if we are exceeding PAGE_SIZE and exit early from loop. Also add at the end a warning that we exceeded PAGE_SIZE and that stats is disabled. Return -EFBIG in the case where we don't have enough space to write the full transition table. Also document in the ABI that this function can return -EFBIG error. • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/e552bbaf5b987f57c43e6981a452b8a3c700b1ae https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/087de000e4f8c878c81d9dd3725f00a1d292980c https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/796d3fad8c35ee9df9027899fb90ceaeb41b958f https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/8a7729cda2dd276d7a3994638038fb89035b6f2c https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a979f56aa4b93579cf0e4265ae04d7e9300fd3e8 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/eaef4650fa2050147ca25fd7ee43bc0082e03c87 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/08e23d05fa6dc4fc13da0ccf09defdd4bbc92ff4 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2024/06/ • CWE-121: Stack-based Buffer Overflow •

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: act_ct: fix skb leak and crash on ooo frags act_ct adds skb->users before defragmentation. If frags arrive in order, the last frag's reference is reset in: inet_frag_reasm_prepare skb_morph which is not straightforward. However when frags arrive out of order, nobody unref the last frag, and all frags are leaked. The situation is even worse, as initiating packet capture can lead to a crash[0] when skb has been cloned and shared at the same time. Fix the issue by removing skb_get() before defragmentation. act_ct returns TC_ACT_CONSUMED when defrag failed or in progress. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: binder: fix race between mmput() and do_exit() Task A calls binder_update_page_range() to allocate and insert pages on a remote address space from Task B. For this, Task A pins the remote mm via mmget_not_zero() first. This can race with Task B do_exit() and the final mmput() refcount decrement will come from Task A. Task A | Task B ------------------+------------------ mmget_not_zero() | | do_exit() | exit_mm() | mmput() mmput() | exit_mmap() | remove_vma() | fput() | In this case, the work of ____fput() from Task B is queued up in Task A as TWA_RESUME. So in theory, Task A returns to userspace and the cleanup work gets executed. However, Task A instead sleep, waiting for a reply from Task B that never comes (it's dead). This means the binder_deferred_release() is blocked until an unrelated binder event forces Task A to go back to userspace. • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/457b9a6f09f011ebcb9b52cc203a6331a6fc2de7 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/95b1d336b0642198b56836b89908d07b9a0c9608 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/252a2a5569eb9f8d16428872cc24dea1ac0bb097 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/7e7a0d86542b0ea903006d3f42f33c4f7ead6918 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/98fee5bee97ad47b527a997d5786410430d1f0e9 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/6696f76c32ff67fec26823fc2df46498e70d9bf3 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/67f16bf2cc1698fd50e01ee8a2becc5a8e6d3a3e https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/77d210e8db4d61d43b2d16df66b1ec46f •
