CVE-2023-5631 – Roundcube Webmail Persistent Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) Vulnerability
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2023-5631
Roundcube before 1.4.15, 1.5.x before 1.5.5, and 1.6.x before 1.6.4 allows stored XSS via an HTML e-mail message with a crafted SVG document because of program/lib/Roundcube/rcube_washtml.php behavior. This could allow a remote attacker to load arbitrary JavaScript code. Roundcube Webmail contains a persistent cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability that allows a remote attacker to run malicious JavaScript code. • https://github.com/soreta2/CVE-2023-5631-POC http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2023/11/01/1 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2023/11/01/3 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2023/11/17/2 https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1054079 https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail/commit/41756cc3331b495cc0b71886984474dc529dd31d https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail/commit/6ee6e7ae301e165e2b2cb703edf75552e5376613 https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail/issues/ • CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') •
CVE-2023-38552 – nodejs: integrity checks according to policies can be circumvented
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2023-38552
When the Node.js policy feature checks the integrity of a resource against a trusted manifest, the application can intercept the operation and return a forged checksum to the node's policy implementation, thus effectively disabling the integrity check. Impacts: This vulnerability affects all users using the experimental policy mechanism in all active release lines: 18.x and, 20.x. Please note that at the time this CVE was issued, the policy mechanism is an experimental feature of Node.js. When the Node.js policy feature checks the integrity of a resource against a trusted manifest, the application can intercept the operation and return a forged checksum to node's policy implementation, thus effectively disabling the integrity check. • https://hackerone.com/reports/2094235 https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce@lists.fedoraproject.org/message/3N4NJ7FR4X4FPZUGNTQAPSTVB2HB2Y4A https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce@lists.fedoraproject.org/message/E72T67UPDRXHIDLO3OROR25YAMN4GGW5 https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce@lists.fedoraproject.org/message/FNA62Q767CFAFHBCDKYNPBMZWB7TWYVU https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce@lists.fedoraproject.org/message/HT7T2R4MQKLIF4ODV4BDLPARWFPCJ5CZ https://lists.fedoraproject. • CWE-345: Insufficient Verification of Data Authenticity CWE-354: Improper Validation of Integrity Check Value •
CVE-2023-39332 – nodejs: path traversal through path stored in Uint8Array
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2023-39332
Various `node:fs` functions allow specifying paths as either strings or `Uint8Array` objects. In Node.js environments, the `Buffer` class extends the `Uint8Array` class. Node.js prevents path traversal through strings (see CVE-2023-30584) and `Buffer` objects (see CVE-2023-32004), but not through non-`Buffer` `Uint8Array` objects. This is distinct from CVE-2023-32004 which only referred to `Buffer` objects. However, the vulnerability follows the same pattern using `Uint8Array` instead of `Buffer`. Please note that at the time this CVE was issued, the permission model is an experimental feature of Node.js. Varias funciones `node:fs` permiten especificar rutas como cadenas u objetos `Uint8Array`. • https://hackerone.com/reports/2199818 https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce@lists.fedoraproject.org/message/3N4NJ7FR4X4FPZUGNTQAPSTVB2HB2Y4A https://security.netapp.com/advisory/ntap-20231116-0009 https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2023-39332 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2244414 • CWE-22: Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') •

CVE-2023-45803 – Request body not stripped after redirect in urllib3
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2023-45803
urllib3 is a user-friendly HTTP client library for Python. urllib3 previously wouldn't remove the HTTP request body when an HTTP redirect response using status 301, 302, or 303 after the request had its method changed from one that could accept a request body (like `POST`) to `GET` as is required by HTTP RFCs. Although this behavior is not specified in the section for redirects, it can be inferred by piecing together information from different sections and we have observed the behavior in other major HTTP client implementations like curl and web browsers. Because the vulnerability requires a previously trusted service to become compromised in order to have an impact on confidentiality we believe the exploitability of this vulnerability is low. Additionally, many users aren't putting sensitive data in HTTP request bodies, if this is the case then this vulnerability isn't exploitable. Both of the following conditions must be true to be affected by this vulnerability: 1. • https://github.com/urllib3/urllib3/commit/4e98d57809dacab1cbe625fddeec1a290c478ea9 https://github.com/urllib3/urllib3/security/advisories/GHSA-g4mx-q9vg-27p4 https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce@lists.fedoraproject.org/message/4R2Y5XK3WALSR3FNAGN7JBYV2B343ZKB https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce@lists.fedoraproject.org/message/5F5CUBAN5XMEBVBZPHFITBLMJV5FIJJ5 https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce@lists.fedoraproject.org/message/PPDPLM6UUMN55ESPQWJFLLIZY4ZKCNRX https://www.rfc-editor.org • CWE-200: Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor •
