CVE-2019-13050 – GnuPG: interaction between the sks-keyserver code and GnuPG allows for a Certificate Spamming Attack which leads to persistent DoS
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-13050
Interaction between the sks-keyserver code through 1.2.0 of the SKS keyserver network, and GnuPG through 2.2.16, makes it risky to have a GnuPG keyserver configuration line referring to a host on the SKS keyserver network. Retrieving data from this network may cause a persistent denial of service, because of a Certificate Spamming Attack. • http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-08/msg00039.html https://gist.github.com/rjhansen/67ab921ffb4084c865b3618d6955275f https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r58af02e294bd07f487e2c64ffc0a29b837db5600e33b6e698b9d696b%40%3Cissues.bookkeeper.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/rf4c02775860db415b4955778a131c2795223f61cb8c6a450893651e4%40%3Cissues.bookkeeper.apache.org%3E https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/rf9fa47ab66495c78bb4120b0754dd9531ca2ff0430f6685ac9b07772%40%3Cdev.mina.apache.org%3E https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/pack • CWE-295: Improper Certificate Validation CWE-297: Improper Validation of Certificate with Host Mismatch •
CVE-2019-11477 – Integer overflow in TCP_SKB_CB(skb)->tcp_gso_segs
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-11477
Jonathan Looney discovered that the TCP_SKB_CB(skb)->tcp_gso_segs value was subject to an integer overflow in the Linux kernel when handling TCP Selective Acknowledgments (SACKs). A remote attacker could use this to cause a denial of service. This has been fixed in stable kernel releases 4.4.182, 4.9.182, 4.14.127, 4.19.52, 5.1.11, and is fixed in commit 3b4929f65b0d8249f19a50245cd88ed1a2f78cff. • http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/153346/Kernel-Live-Patch-Security-Notice-LSN-0052-1.html http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/154951/Kernel-Live-Patch-Security-Notice-LSN-0058-1.html http://www.arubanetworks.com/assets/alert/ARUBA-PSA-2020-010.txt http://www.huawei.com/en/psirt/security-advisories/huawei-sa-20191225-01-kernel-en http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/06/20/3 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/06/28/2 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss • CWE-190: Integer Overflow or Wraparound CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption •
CVE-2019-11478 – SACK can cause extensive memory use via fragmented resend queue
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-11478
Jonathan Looney discovered that the TCP retransmission queue implementation in tcp_fragment in the Linux kernel could be fragmented when handling certain TCP Selective Acknowledgment (SACK) sequences. A remote attacker could use this to cause a denial of service. This has been fixed in stable kernel releases 4.4.182, 4.9.182, 4.14.127, 4.19.52, 5.1.11, and is fixed in commit f070ef2ac66716357066b683fb0baf55f8191a2e. CVE-2019-11479 – kernel: tcp: excessive resource consumption for TCP connections with low MSS allows remote denial of service
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-11479
Jonathan Looney discovered that the Linux kernel default MSS is hard-coded to 48 bytes. This allows a remote peer to fragment TCP resend queues significantly more than if a larger MSS were enforced. A remote attacker could use this to cause a denial of service. This has been fixed in stable kernel releases 4.4.182, 4.9.182, 4.14.127, 4.19.52, 5.1.11, and is fixed in commits 967c05aee439e6e5d7d805e195b3a20ef5c433d6 and 5f3e2bf008c2221478101ee72f5cb4654b9fc363. • http://www.arubanetworks.com/assets/alert/ARUBA-PSA-2020-010.txt http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/06/28/2 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/07/06/3 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/07/06/4 http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/108818 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:1594 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:1602 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:1699 https://access.redhat.com/security/vulnerabili • CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption CWE-405: Asymmetric Resource Consumption (Amplification) CWE-770: Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling •
CVE-2019-5436 – curl: TFTP receive heap buffer overflow in tftp_receive_packet() function
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2019-5436
A heap buffer overflow in the TFTP receiving code allows for DoS or arbitrary code execution in libcurl versions 7.19.4 through 7.64.1. • http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-06/msg00008.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-06/msg00017.html http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/09/11/6 https://curl.haxx.se/docs/CVE-2019-5436.html https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/SMG3V4VTX2SE3EW3HQTN3DDLQBTORQC2 https://seclists.org/bugtraq/2020/Feb/36 https://security.gentoo.org/glsa/202003-29 https://security.netapp.com/advisory& • CWE-122: Heap-based Buffer Overflow CWE-787: Out-of-bounds Write •
