There's a flaw in urllib's AbstractBasicAuthHandler class. An attacker who controls a malicious HTTP server that an HTTP client (such as web browser) connects to, could trigger a Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDOS) during an authentication request with a specially crafted payload that is sent by the server to the client. The greatest threat that this flaw poses is to application availability. • https://bugs.python.org/issue43075 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1995234 https://github.com/python/cpython/commit/7215d1ae25525c92b026166f9d5cac85fb https://github.com/python/cpython/pull/24391 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2023/05/msg00024.html https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2023/06/msg00039.html https://security.netapp.com/advisory/ntap-20220407-0001 https://ubuntu.com/security/CVE-2021-3733 https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2021-3733 • CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption •

A flaw was found in the KVM's AMD code for supporting SVM nested virtualization. The flaw occurs when processing the VMCB (virtual machine control block) provided by the L1 guest to spawn/handle a nested guest (L2). Due to improper validation of the "virt_ext" field, this issue could allow a malicious L1 to disable both VMLOAD/VMSAVE intercepts and VLS (Virtual VMLOAD/VMSAVE) for the L2 guest. As a result, the L2 guest would be allowed to read/write physical pages of the host, resulting in a crash of the entire system, leak of sensitive data or potential guest-to-host escape. Se ha encontrado un fallo en el código AMD de KVM para soportar la virtualización anidada SVM. • https://github.com/rami08448/CVE-2021-3656-Demo https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1983988 https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/virt/kvm/kvm.git/commit/?id=c7dfa4009965a9b2d7b329ee970eb8da0d32f0bc https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/c7dfa4009965a9b2d7b329ee970eb8da0d32f0bc https://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2021/08/16/1 https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2021-3656 • CWE-862: Missing Authorization •

An information disclosure vulnerability was found in libvirt in versions before 6.3.0. HTTP cookies used to access network-based disks were saved in the XML dump of the guest domain. This flaw allows an attacker to access potentially sensitive information in the domain configuration via the `dumpxml` command. TSX Asynchronous Abort condition on some CPUs utilizing speculative execution may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable information disclosure via a side channel with local access. Una condición de tipo TSX Asynchronous Abort en algunas CPU que utilizan ejecución especulativa puede habilitar a un usuario autenticado para permitir potencialmente una divulgación de información por medio de un canal lateral con acceso local. A flaw was found in the way Intel CPUs handle speculative execution of instructions when the TSX Asynchronous Abort (TAA) error occurs. A local authenticated attacker with the ability to monitor execution times could infer the TSX memory state by comparing abort execution times. This could allow information disclosure via this observed side-channel for any TSX transaction being executed while an attacker is able to observe abort timing. Intel's Transactional Synchronisation Extensions (TSX) are set of instructions which enable transactional memory support to improve performance of the multi-threaded applications, in the lock-protected critical sections. • http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-11/msg00045.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-11/msg00046.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-12/msg00042.html http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/155375/Slackware-Security-Advisory-Slackware-14.2-kernel-Updates.html http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/12/10/3 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/12/10/4 http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2019/12 • CWE-203: Observable Discrepancy •
