CVE-2024-26717 – HID: i2c-hid-of: fix NULL-deref on failed power up
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2024-26717
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: i2c-hid-of: fix NULL-deref on failed power up A while back the I2C HID implementation was split in an ACPI and OF part, but the new OF driver never initialises the client pointer which is dereferenced on power-up failures. • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/b33752c300232d7f95dd9a4353947d0c9e6a0e52 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/62f5d219edbd174829aa18d4b3d97cd5fefbb783 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/d7d7a0e3b6f5adc45f23667cbb919e99093a5b5c https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/4cad91344a62536a2949873bad6365fbb6232776 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/e28d6b63aeecbda450935fb58db0e682ea8212d3 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/00aab7dcb2267f2aef59447602f34501efe1a07f https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2024-26717 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2273148 • CWE-476: NULL Pointer Dereference •
CVE-2024-26715 – usb: dwc3: gadget: Fix NULL pointer dereference in dwc3_gadget_suspend
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2024-26715
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: dwc3: gadget: Fix NULL pointer dereference in dwc3_gadget_suspend In current scenario if Plug-out and Plug-In performed continuously there could be a chance while checking for dwc->gadget_driver in dwc3_gadget_suspend, a NULL pointer dereference may occur. Call Stack: CPU1: CPU2: gadget_unbind_driver dwc3_suspend_common dwc3_gadget_stop dwc3_gadget_suspend dwc3_disconnect_gadget CPU1 basically clears the variable and CPU2 checks the variable. Consider CPU1 is running and right before gadget_driver is cleared and in parallel CPU2 executes dwc3_gadget_suspend where it finds dwc->gadget_driver which is not NULL and resumes execution and then CPU1 completes execution. CPU2 executes dwc3_disconnect_gadget where it checks dwc->gadget_driver is already NULL because of which the NULL pointer deference occur. • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/9772b47a4c2916d645c551228b6085ea24acbe5d https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/8cca5c85393a7a490d4d7942c24d73d29cc77b3e https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/df2ca3271569367352835f981618e284fdc4ca94 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/88936ceab6b426f1312327e9ef849c215c6007a7 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/57e2e42ccd3cd6183228269715ed032f44536751 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/c7ebd8149ee519d27232e6e4940e9c02071b568b https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/36695d5eeeefe5a64b47d0336e7c8fc144e78182 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/61a348857e869432e6a920ad8ea9132e8 •
CVE-2024-26714 – interconnect: qcom: sc8180x: Mark CO0 BCM keepalive
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2024-26714
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: interconnect: qcom: sc8180x: Mark CO0 BCM keepalive The CO0 BCM needs to be up at all times, otherwise some hardware (like the UFS controller) loses its connection to the rest of the SoC, resulting in a hang of the platform, accompanied by a spectacular logspam. CVE-2024-26712 – powerpc/kasan: Fix addr error caused by page alignment
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2024-26712
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/kasan: Fix addr error caused by page alignment In kasan_init_region, when k_start is not page aligned, at the begin of for loop, k_cur = k_start & PAGE_MASK is less than k_start, and then `va = block + k_cur - k_start` is less than block, the addr va is invalid, because the memory address space from va to block is not alloced by memblock_alloc, which will not be reserved by memblock_reserve later, it will be used by other places. As a result, memory overwriting occurs. for example: int __init __weak kasan_init_region(void *start, size_t size) { [...] /* if say block(dcd97000) k_start(feef7400) k_end(feeff3fe) */ block = memblock_alloc(k_end - k_start, PAGE_SIZE); [...] for (k_cur = k_start & PAGE_MASK; k_cur < k_end; k_cur += PAGE_SIZE) { /* at the begin of for loop * block(dcd97000) va(dcd96c00) k_cur(feef7000) k_start(feef7400) * va(dcd96c00) is less than block(dcd97000), va is invalid */ void *va = block + k_cur - k_start; [...] } [...] } Therefore, page alignment is performed on k_start before memblock_alloc() to ensure the validity of the VA address. } [...] } Por lo tanto, la alineación de la página se realiza en k_start antes de memblock_alloc() para garantizar la validez de la dirección VA. • https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/663c0c9496a69f80011205ba3194049bcafd681d https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/5ce93076d8ee2a0fac3ad4adbd2e91b6197146db https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/230e89b5ad0a33f530a2a976b3e5e4385cb27882 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2738e0aa2fb24a7ab9c878d912dc2b239738c6c6 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/0c09912dd8387e228afcc5e34ac5d79b1e3a1058 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/0516c06b19dc64807c10e01bb99b552bdf2d7dbe https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/70ef2ba1f4286b2b73675aeb424b590c92d57b25 https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/4a7aee96200ad281a5cc4cf5c7a2e2a49 • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation •
CVE-2024-26707 – net: hsr: remove WARN_ONCE() in send_hsr_supervision_frame()
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2024-26707
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: hsr: remove WARN_ONCE() in send_hsr_supervision_frame() Syzkaller reported [1] hitting a warning after failing to allocate resources for skb in hsr_init_skb(). Since a WARN_ONCE() call will not help much in this case, it might be prudent to switch to netdev_warn_once(). At the very least it will suppress syzkaller reports such as [1]. Just in case, use netdev_warn_once() in send_prp_supervision_frame() for similar reasons.
