CVE-2018-5158 – pdf.js < 2.0.943 - Authenticated (Author+) Stored Cross-Site Scripting
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-5158
The PDF viewer does not sufficiently sanitize PostScript calculator functions, allowing malicious JavaScript to be injected through a crafted PDF file. This JavaScript can then be run with the permissions of the PDF viewer by its worker. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 52.8 and Firefox < 60. El visor de PDF no sanea suficientemente las funciones de la calculadora PostScript, lo que permite inyectar JavaScript malicioso a través de un archivo PDF manipulado. Este JavaScript puede ser ejecutado por su worker con los permisos del visor de PDF. • https://github.com/ppcrab/CVE-2018-5158 https://github.com/puzzle-tools/-CVE-2018-5158.pdf http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/104136 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1040896 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:1414 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:1415 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1452075 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2018/05/msg00007.html https://security.gentoo.org/glsa/201810-01 https://usn.ubuntu.com/3645-1 https& • CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') CWE-94: Improper Control of Generation of Code ('Code Injection') CWE-95: Improper Neutralization of Directives in Dynamically Evaluated Code ('Eval Injection') •
CVE-2018-1087 – Kernel: KVM: error in exception handling leads to wrong debug stack value
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-1087
kernel KVM before versions kernel 4.16, kernel 4.16-rc7, kernel 4.17-rc1, kernel 4.17-rc2 and kernel 4.17-rc3 is vulnerable to a flaw in the way the Linux kernel's KVM hypervisor handled exceptions delivered after a stack switch operation via Mov SS or Pop SS instructions. During the stack switch operation, the processor did not deliver interrupts and exceptions, rather they are delivered once the first instruction after the stack switch is executed. • http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2018/05/08/5 http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/104127 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1040862 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:1318 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:1345 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:1347 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:1348 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:1355 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:1524 https://access.redhat.com/security/vulnerabili • CWE-250: Execution with Unnecessary Privileges •
CVE-2018-1000199 – kernel: ptrace() incorrect error handling leads to corruption and DoS
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-1000199
The Linux Kernel version 3.18 contains a dangerous feature vulnerability in modify_user_hw_breakpoint() that can result in crash and possibly memory corruption. This attack appear to be exploitable via local code execution and the ability to use ptrace. This vulnerability appears to have been fixed in git commit f67b15037a7a50c57f72e69a6d59941ad90a0f0f. • https://github.com/dsfau/CVE-2018-1000199 http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2020-06/msg00022.html http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1040806 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:1318 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:1345 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:1347 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:1348 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:1354 https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2018:1355 https://access.redhat.com/err • CWE-119: Improper Restriction of Operations within the Bounds of a Memory Buffer CWE-460: Improper Cleanup on Thrown Exception •
CVE-2018-10392 – libvorbis: heap buffer overflow in mapping0_forward function
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-10392
mapping0_forward in mapping0.c in Xiph.Org libvorbis 1.3.6 does not validate the number of channels, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer overflow or over-read) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted file. mapping0_forward en mapping0.c en Xiph. A heap-based buffer overflow was found in the encoder functionality of the libvorbis library. An attacker could create a malicious file to cause a denial of service, crashing the application containing the library. • https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2019:3703 https://gitlab.xiph.org/xiph/vorbis/issues/2335 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2019/11/msg00031.html https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2021/11/msg00023.html https://security.gentoo.org/glsa/202003-36 https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2018-10392 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1574193 • CWE-122: Heap-based Buffer Overflow CWE-125: Out-of-bounds Read CWE-787: Out-of-bounds Write •
