On Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved devices, the receipt of a specific BGP UPDATE packet causes an internal counter to be incremented incorrectly, which over time can lead to the routing protocols process (RPD) crash and restart. This issue affects both IBGP and EBGP multihop deployment in IPv4 or IPv6 network. This issue affects: Juniper Networks Junos OS: 17.2X75 versions prior to 17.2X75-D105.19; 17.3 versions prior to 17.3R3-S8; 17.4 versions prior to 17.4R2-S10, 17.4R3-S2; 18.1 versions prior to 18.1R3-S10; 18.2 versions prior to 18.2R2-S7, 18.2R3-S4; 18.2X75 versions prior to 18.2X75-D13, 18.2X75-D411.1, 18.2X75-D420.18, 18.2X75-D52.3, 18.2X75-D60; 18.3 versions prior to 18.3R2-S4, 18.3R3-S2; 18.4 versions prior to 18.4R1-S7, 18.4R2-S4, 18.4R3-S2; 19.1 versions prior to 19.1R1-S5, 19.1R2-S1, 19.1R3; 19.2 versions prior to 19.2R1-S5, 19.2R2; 19.3 versions prior to 19.3R2-S2, 19.3R3; 19.4 versions prior to 19.4R1-S2, 19.4R2. Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved: any releases prior to 20.1R2-EVO. This issue does not affect Juniper Networks Junos OS releases prior to 17.3R1. • https://kb.juniper.net/JSA11032 • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation CWE-703: Improper Check or Handling of Exceptional Conditions •

An improper use of a validation framework when processing incoming genuine BGP packets within Juniper Networks RPD (routing protocols process) daemon allows an attacker to crash RPD thereby causing a Denial of Service (DoS) condition. This framework requires these packets to be passed. By continuously sending any of these types of formatted genuine packets, an attacker can repeatedly crash the RPD process causing a sustained Denial of Service. Authentication to the BGP peer is not required. This issue can be initiated or propagated through eBGP and iBGP and can impact devices in either modes of use as long as the devices are configured to support the compromised framework and a BGP path is activated or active. • https://kb.juniper.net/JSA11024 • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation CWE-1173: Improper Use of Validation Framework •

A vulnerability in the HTTP/HTTPS service used by J-Web, Web Authentication, Dynamic-VPN (DVPN), Firewall Authentication Pass-Through with Web-Redirect, and Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) allows an unauthenticated attacker to perform local file inclusion (LFI) or path traversal. Using this vulnerability, an attacker may be able to inject commands into the httpd.log, read files with 'world' readable permission file or obtain J-Web session tokens. In the case of command injection, as the HTTP service runs as user 'nobody', the impact of this command injection is limited. (CVSS score 5.3, vector CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N) In the case of reading files with 'world' readable permission, in Junos OS 19.3R1 and above, the unauthenticated attacker would be able to read the configuration file. (CVSS score 5.9, vector CVSS:3.1/ AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N) If J-Web is enabled, the attacker could gain the same level of access of anyone actively logged into J-Web. • https://kb.juniper.net/JSA11021 • CWE-22: Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') CWE-73: External Control of File Name or Path •

utility.c in telnetd in netkit telnet through 0.17 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via short writes or urgent data, because of a buffer overflow involving the netclear and nextitem functions. A vulnerability was found where incorrect bounds checks in the telnet server’s (telnetd) handling of short writes and urgent data, could lead to information disclosure and corruption of heap data. An unauthenticated remote attacker could exploit these bugs by sending specially crafted telnet packets to achieve arbitrary code execution in the telnet server. • https://appgateresearch.blogspot.com/2020/02/bravestarr-fedora-31-netkit-telnetd_28.html https://github.com/krb5/krb5-appl/blob/d00cd671dfe945791b33d4f1f6a5c57ae1667ef8/telnet/telnetd/utility.c#L205-L216 https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2020/05/msg00012.html https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2020/08/msg00038.html https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/7FMTRRQTYKWZD2GMXX3GLZV46OLPCLVK https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40l • CWE-119: Improper Restriction of Operations within the Bounds of a Memory Buffer CWE-120: Buffer Copy without Checking Size of Input ('Classic Buffer Overflow') •

jQuery before 3.4.0, as used in Drupal, Backdrop CMS, and other products, mishandles jQuery.extend(true, {}, ...) because of Object.prototype pollution. A Prototype Pollution vulnerability was found in jquery. Untrusted JSON passed to the `extend` function could lead to modifying objects up the prototype chain, including the global Object. • https://github.com/isacaya/CVE-2019-11358 https://github.com/ossf-cve-benchmark/CVE-2019-11358 https://github.com/Snorlyd/https-nj.gov---CVE-2019-11358 http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-08/msg00006.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-security-announce/2019-08/msg00025.html http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/152787/dotCMS-5.1.1-Vulnerable-Dependencies.html http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/153237/RetireJS-CORS-Issue-Script-Execution.html http://packetstormsecurity.c • CWE-79: Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') CWE-1321: Improperly Controlled Modification of Object Prototype Attributes ('Prototype Pollution') •
