CVE-2018-0298
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-0298
A vulnerability in the web UI of Cisco FXOS and Cisco UCS Fabric Interconnect Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a buffer overflow on an affected system. The vulnerability is due to incorrect input validation in the web UI. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a malicious HTTP or HTTPS packet directed to the physical management interface of an affected system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the process to crash and possibly reload the device, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition on the affected system. This vulnerability affects Firepower 4100 Series Next-Generation Firewall, Firepower 9300 Security Appliance, UCS 6200 Series Fabric Interconnects, UCS 6300 Series Fabric Interconnects. • https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-20180620-fxos-dos • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation CWE-119: Improper Restriction of Operations within the Bounds of a Memory Buffer •
CVE-2018-0331
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2018-0331
A vulnerability in the Cisco Discovery Protocol (formerly known as CDP) subsystem of devices running, or based on, Cisco NX-OS Software contain a vulnerability that could allow an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to create a denial of service (DoS) condition. The vulnerability is due to a failure to properly validate certain fields within a Cisco Discovery Protocol message prior to processing it. An attacker with the ability to submit a Cisco Discovery Protocol message designed to trigger the issue could cause a DoS condition on an affected device while the device restarts. This vulnerability affects Firepower 4100 Series Next-Generation Firewall, Firepower 9300 Security Appliance, MDS 9000 Series Multilayer Director Switches, Nexus 1000V Series Switches, Nexus 1100 Series Cloud Services Platforms, Nexus 2000 Series Switches, Nexus 3000 Series Switches, Nexus 3500 Platform Switches, Nexus 3600 Platform Switches, Nexus 5500 Platform Switches, Nexus 5600 Platform Switches, Nexus 6000 Series Switches, Nexus 7000 Series Switches, Nexus 7700 Series Switches, Nexus 9000 Series Switches in NX-OS mode, Nexus 9500 R-Series Line Cards and Fabric Modules, UCS 6100 Series Fabric Interconnects, UCS 6200 Series Fabric Interconnects, UCS 6300 Series Fabric Interconnects. CVE-2017-12277
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2017-12277
A vulnerability in the Smart Licensing Manager service of the Cisco Firepower 4100 Series Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) and Firepower 9300 Security Appliance could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to inject arbitrary commands that could be executed with root privileges. The vulnerability is due to insufficient input validation of certain Smart Licensing configuration parameters. An authenticated attacker could exploit the vulnerability by configuring a malicious URL within the affected feature. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary commands with root privileges. This vulnerability affects the following Cisco Firepower Security products running FX-OS code trains 1.1.3, 1.1.4, and 2.0.1 (versions 2.1.1, 2.2.1, and 2.2.2 are not affected): Firepower 4100 Series Next-Generation Firewall and Firepower 9300 Security Appliance. • http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/101661 https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-20171101-fpwr • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation CWE-77: Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in a Command ('Command Injection') •
CVE-2017-3883
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2017-3883
A vulnerability in the authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) implementation of Cisco Firepower Extensible Operating System (FXOS) and NX-OS System Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause an affected device to reload. The vulnerability occurs because AAA processes prevent the NX-OS System Manager from receiving keepalive messages when an affected device receives a high rate of login attempts, such as in a brute-force login attack. System memory can run low on the FXOS devices under the same conditions, which could cause the AAA process to unexpectedly restart or cause the device to reload. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by performing a brute-force login attack against a device that is configured with AAA security services. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the affected device to reload. • http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/101493 http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1039614 https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docLocale=en_US&docId=emr_na-hpesbst03846en_us https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-20171018-aaavty • CWE-770: Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling •
CVE-2015-6435 – Cisco UCS Manager 2.2(1d) Remote Command Execution
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2015-6435
An unspecified CGI script in Cisco FX-OS before 1.1.2 on Firepower 9000 devices and Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) Manager before 2.2(4b), 2.2(5) before 2.2(5a), and 3.0 before 3.0(2e) allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary shell commands via a crafted HTTP request, aka Bug ID CSCur90888. • http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/160991/Cisco-UCS-Manager-2.2-1d-Remote-Command-Execution.html http://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-20160120-ucsm http://www.securitytracker.com/id/1034743 • CWE-78: Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command ('OS Command Injection') •
