If the Node.js https API was used incorrectly and "undefined" was in passed for the "rejectUnauthorized" parameter, no error was returned and connections to servers with an expired certificate would have been accepted. Si la API https de Node.js, era usada incorrectamente y se pasaba "undefined" para el parámetro "rejectUnauthorized", no fue devuelto ningún error y se aceptaban las conexiones a servidores con un certificado caducado. A flaw was found in Node.js. If the Node.js HTTPS API is used incorrectly and "undefined" is passed for the "rejectUnauthorized" parameter, no error is returned, and the connections to servers with an expired certificate are accepted. CVE-2021-22883 – nodejs: HTTP2 'unknownProtocol' cause DoS by resource exhaustion
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2021-22883
Node.js before 10.24.0, 12.21.0, 14.16.0, and 15.10.0 is vulnerable to a denial of service attack when too many connection attempts with an 'unknownProtocol' are established. This leads to a leak of file descriptors. If a file descriptor limit is configured on the system, then the server is unable to accept new connections and prevent the process also from opening, e.g. a file. If no file descriptor limit is configured, then this lead to an excessive memory usage and cause the system to run out of memory. Node.js versiones anteriores a 10.24.0, 12.21.0, 14.16.0 y 15.10.0, es vulnerable a un ataque de denegación de servicio cuando son establecidos demasiados intentos de conexión con un "unknownProtocol". • https://cert-portal.siemens.com/productcert/pdf/ssa-389290.pdf https://hackerone.com/reports/1043360 https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/E4FRS5ZVK4ZQ7XIJQNGIKUXG2DJFHLO7 https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/F45Y7TXSU33MTKB6AGL2Q5V5ZOCNPKOG https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/HSYFUGKFUSZ27M5TEZ3FKILWTWFJTFAZ https://nodejs.org/en/blog/vulnerability/february-2021-security-releases& • CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption CWE-772: Missing Release of Resource after Effective Lifetime •
CVE-2021-22884 – nodejs: DNS rebinding in --inspect
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2021-22884
Node.js before 10.24.0, 12.21.0, 14.16.0, and 15.10.0 is vulnerable to DNS rebinding attacks as the whitelist includes “localhost6”. When “localhost6” is not present in /etc/hosts, it is just an ordinary domain that is resolved via DNS, i.e., over network. If the attacker controls the victim's DNS server or can spoof its responses, the DNS rebinding protection can be bypassed by using the “localhost6” domain. As long as the attacker uses the “localhost6” domain, they can still apply the attack described in CVE-2018-7160. Node.js versiones anteriores a 10.24.0, 12.21.0, 14.16.0 y 15.10.0, es vulnerable a unos ataques de reenlace de DNS, ya que la lista blanca incluye “localhost6”. • https://cert-portal.siemens.com/productcert/pdf/ssa-389290.pdf https://hackerone.com/reports/1069487 https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/E4FRS5ZVK4ZQ7XIJQNGIKUXG2DJFHLO7 https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/F45Y7TXSU33MTKB6AGL2Q5V5ZOCNPKOG https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/HSYFUGKFUSZ27M5TEZ3FKILWTWFJTFAZ https://nodejs.org/en/blog/vulnerability/february-2021-security-releases& • CWE-20: Improper Input Validation CWE-350: Reliance on Reverse DNS Resolution for a Security-Critical Action •
CVE-2020-8277 – c-ares: ares_parse_{a,aaaa}_reply() insufficient naddrttls validation DoS
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2020-8277
A Node.js application that allows an attacker to trigger a DNS request for a host of their choice could trigger a Denial of Service in versions < 15.2.1, < 14.15.1, and < 12.19.1 by getting the application to resolve a DNS record with a larger number of responses. This is fixed in 15.2.1, 14.15.1, and 12.19.1. Esto es corregido en versiones 15.2.1, 14.15.1 y 12.19.1 • https://github.com/masahiro331/CVE-2020-8277 https://github.com/AndrewIjano/CVE-2020-8277 https://hackerone.com/reports/1033107 https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/A7WH7W46OZSEUHWBHD7TCH3LRFY52V6Z https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/BEJBY3RJB3XWUOJFGZM5E3EMQ7MFM3UT https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/EEIV4CH6KNVZK63Y6EKVN2XDW7IHSJBJ https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives • CWE-119: Improper Restriction of Operations within the Bounds of a Memory Buffer CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption •
CVE-2020-8174 – nodejs: memory corruption in napi_get_value_string_* functions
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2020-8174
napi_get_value_string_*() allows various kinds of memory corruption in node < 10.21.0, 12.18.0, and < 14.4.0. La función napi_get_value_string_*(), permite varios tipos de corrupción de memoria en node versiones anteriores a 10.21.0, 12.18.0 y versiones anteriores a 14.4.0 A flaw was found in nodejs. Calling napi_get_value_string_latin1(), napi_get_value_string_utf8(), or napi_get_value_string_utf16() with a non-NULL buf, and a bufsize of 0 will cause the entire string value to be written to buf, probably overrunning the length of the buffer. • https://hackerone.com/reports/784186 https://security.gentoo.org/glsa/202101-07 https://security.netapp.com/advisory/ntap-20201023-0003 https://www.oracle.com//security-alerts/cpujul2021.html https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cpuapr2022.html https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cpujan2021.html https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cpuoct2020.html https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2020-8174 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1845256 • CWE-119: Improper Restriction of Operations within the Bounds of a Memory Buffer CWE-191: Integer Underflow (Wrap or Wraparound) •
