CVE-2022-1158 – kernel: KVM: cmpxchg_gpte can write to pfns outside the userspace region
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-1158
A flaw was found in KVM. When updating a guest's page table entry, vm_pgoff was improperly used as the offset to get the page's pfn. As vaddr and vm_pgoff are controllable by user-mode processes, this flaw allows unprivileged local users on the host to write outside the userspace region and potentially corrupt the kernel, resulting in a denial of service condition. • https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2069793 https://security.netapp.com/advisory/ntap-20230214-0003 https://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2022/04/08/4 https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2022-1158 • CWE-416: Use After Free •
CVE-2022-0934 – dnsmasq: Heap use after free in dhcp6_no_relay
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-0934
A single-byte, non-arbitrary write/use-after-free flaw was found in dnsmasq. This flaw allows an attacker who sends a crafted packet processed by dnsmasq, potentially causing a denial of service.
CVE-2021-3839 – DPDK: out-of-bounds read/write in vhost_user_set_inflight_fd() may lead to crash
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2021-3839
A flaw was found in the vhost library in DPDK. Function vhost_user_set_inflight_fd() does not validate `msg->payload.inflight.num_queues`, possibly causing out-of-bounds memory read/write. Any software using DPDK vhost library may crash as a result of this vulnerability. • https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2021-3839 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2025882 https://github.com/DPDK/dpdk/commit/6442c329b9d2ded0f44b27d2016aaba8ba5844c5 • CWE-125: Out-of-bounds Read CWE-787: Out-of-bounds Write •
CVE-2022-1016 – kernel: uninitialized registers on stack in nft_do_chain can cause kernel pointer leakage to UM
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-1016
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel in net/netfilter/nf_tables_core.c:nft_do_chain, which can cause a use-after-free. This issue needs to handle 'return' with proper preconditions, as it can lead to a kernel information leak problem caused by a local, unprivileged attacker.
CVE-2022-25308 – fribidi: Stack based buffer overflow
https://notcve.org/view.php?id=CVE-2022-25308
A stack-based buffer overflow flaw was found in the Fribidi package. This flaw allows an attacker to pass a specially crafted file to the Fribidi application, which leads to a possible memory leak or a denial of service. • https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2022-25308 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2047890 https://github.com/fribidi/fribidi/issues/181 https://github.com/fribidi/fribidi/pull/184 • CWE-121: Stack-based Buffer Overflow CWE-787: Out-of-bounds Write •
